@Luislv45626 might be too long out for people who won't be going for IMAX. Like this early of a presale really mainly appeals to people who want it in the best possible format, IMAX.
However yes it will be concerning if those seats don't fill at all once general sales start next week
@Beyondreporter1 oh I felt like they should maybe have just kept it at 2. it feels like every trailer released for this film does more damage to it, like negative hype for the audience. It's better to keep it close to the chest
@KeithcMacD@douglist56@andrewg5000 yea but that was AMC's server issues. I went through Cineplex and had no issue buyying a ticket. Yea they went fast but it was relatively painless to get and it's only the first few days available. You just wait for the next batch and that's it.
@ViewerAnon I wonder if it'll end up being more praised on a quality level than Brand New Day. that would help the DCU narrative of them delivering more qualitative films than MCU... let's see
@Jerry__Grey@GlobalBoxOffice I'm not even sure about big opening weekend look at the tweets lowered predictions. I think there's a lot of people who just don't care about this film or lost interest due to controversy souring it for them.
This might be a bit of a debacle for Nolan if it doesn't perform
@BBASH511@GlobalBoxOffice It depends if that will even be the reception. I could see it getting a muted response and many people's opinions already being impacted negatively with all the controversy.
If it's anything less than a stellar reception this could be worrying
No IMAX, no fun! THE ODYSSEY crushed AMC online but the other theater chains didn’t see any crazy demand.
Overall, a bit overwhelming start for non-IMAX formats. We’re lowering our expectations from $100M domestic opening to a $65M-$80M projection.
Updates every other week.
@Jerry__Grey@GlobalBoxOffice seems set to flop against expectations. unless the marketing does some crazy stuff in the little time remaining but I'm not sure. many might just wait for spider man to come out and save their money.
@GlobalBoxOffice I knew that people would overestimate the box office for this since Oppenheimer's anomaly of a success story.
people are going to be disappointed when this makes around 700 mil realistically. It's not getting close to a billion just know that.
