MSc Student, Wildlife Coexistence Lab (@wildco_lab), UBC.
My research focuses on the impacts of recreation on mountain goats in Banff and Yoho National Parks.
Congratulations to @MadeleineWrazej for a superb defence of her thesis "The impacts of recreation on mountain goats in Banff and Yoho national parks". The goats and @wildco_lab thank you for your hard work and impressive research! @ubcforestry@ParksCanada
@WildlifAry I would be happy to take a peak at your resume! I am in the second year of my MSc, and have worked in a couple of different wildlife and ecological monitoring positions with Parks Canada both as a student and full-time. Happy to answer questions about grad school as well! :)
@gabbspalomo I totally understand! Thinking back, I should have just added a small acknowledgement under the silhouette instead of putting in my reference section. Your art is really awesome! ๐ I couldn't find a cool camera trap silhouette anywhere, so was very excited to find your page.
@gabbspalomo This is a good thing to think about in the future when considering making things more accessible. Potentially not using a QR code, or coming up with a more appropriate title for my reference section (eg. "References and further acknowledgments"). Again my apologies!
@gabbspalomo@gabbspalomo I am very sorry the acknowledgement for your work is not more visible! I do have a section in my reference section acknowledging you, as I definitely do care think your work is amazing. I am sorry the QR code is not very accessible through just an image of my poster.
Want to chat about caribou conservation, camera trapping, and mammal community responses to disturbance in BC? Come find my poster tomorrow at #TWS2022!
If you want to chat about mountain goats, camera traps and how hard it is to collect fresh goat pellet samples, come see my poster tomorrow at #TWS2022!
This week's WildCAM feature includes amazing images from @WildCO student @MadeleineWrazej.
Madeleineโs research focuses on mountain goats in Banff and Yoho National Parks. Camera traps are used to assess mountain goat behaviour in areas exposed to varying levels of recreation.
