All views are my own.
Seeing some, on tbe surface, nonsensical ofsted reports where everything is 'strong' apart from achievement which is 'expected'.
Next steps are basically 'improve achievement of vulnerable pupils' but inspectors are seeing unusual strength in ALL aspects of the schook's work.
Standing ovation for @MarkJCarney at Davos. (Those do not happen often). Brutally honest assessment of the situation Trump is creating for the world and the new approach middle powers now need to take. One of those speeches worth reading in full. Check it out
** Warning - small sample size **
What have I noticed from looking at the first wave of secondary ofsted reports?
1) the achievement grade is very closely linked to published data. The other bullet points in this judgement area don't appear to 'shift the dial' on the judgement

Merry Christmas, United Utilities.
If you’re in Windermere over the Christmas period, head to the train station to see our new Origin billboard.
Take a photo with it, watch our 12-minute film with friends or family, and have a conversation about what’s really happening to our lake.
Huge thanks to the local businesses who helped make this possible.

Windermere vs Buttermere
Windermere: Since 2017, over fifty billion litres of treated sewage and more than 30,000 hours of untreated sewage have made their way into the lake.
Buttermere: a lake where the water company is not allowed to put any sewage at all.
Images taken on 24 and 25 April 2025.
The only way to protect Windermere is to end the sewage pollution once and for all.
