Kudos to former Frameable Senior @madelinskene for speaking up and saving her TEAM's softball season at @UM_Dearborn@UMDearbornSB @DougSkene Speaking truth to power at any level takes guts. 👊🏻🥎https://t.co/UpZ9YAS1AW
UPDATE: The University of Michigan-Dearborn has reversed its course and will now allow its spring sports teams to play with stricter health guidelines agreed upon by other schools. https://t.co/0YG3l9tvIw
@MadelinSkene I am so proud of you and how hard you are fighting for yourself and other athletes at UM-D. This Momma is right with you, this is not over yet. #keepfighting#makeyourvoiceheard
Our chancellor has taken away 2!! seasons of spring sports, and one season of fall and winter sports. He gives us no legitimate explanations as to why. Think you could help us out in any way? Our mental health is in the tank. We need people to advocate for us. @DarrenMcCarty4
@DarrenMcCarty4 heard you think athletes not being able to play due to Covid wasn’t fair. Us student athletes at UMD have had a whole years worth of sports taken away based off of one persons decision at our school. Our leadership is very questionable.
Senior year on the horizon and I’ve played 1 season in college. @UM_Dearborn ‘s leaders have been making mine and the rest of us athletes personal health decisions for us for a year now. With what seems like no consideration for anything.
If you haven’t heard, U of M Dearborn will be the ONLY college in Michigan not allowing athletics this spring. We are somehow unable to find a way to return safely, in the same way countless schools across the country have been able to.
“Safety Safety Safety” Glad every school in the state has figured out solutions to all of your still called problems. @ChanceGrasso ever thought about the fact that your athletes mental health is more of a concern now due to your irrational decisions than their physical health?
