@Samaytwt It’s just a computer, whatever keeps you effective. I use macOS, windows, Linux. So I’m agnostic even with phones I can use an android or iOS. If limiting your tool set makes you feel good then enjoy it.

MacBook Pro, 3 days owned, just retired the one I’ve been using since 2015. Specifically- I’ve named my old MacBook Pro, old Bobby…. He took a licking and ticked until it died last week.

I’ve been using a MBP that I purchased in Feb of 2020. I just purchased a new one a month ago. With the rumors of the M5 coming I decided to go ahead and get a new one. I’m not that moved by the M5’s, my new M4 Max works like a charm!! & the resale value on MBP’s is insane!

Every MBP I’ve owned have lasted me, with heavy use, 4 yrs and even then I felt I could have gone longer with that computer at the time … but, all my friends were getting the new one and so the pressure got to me!!! I can still edit pro Res footage on my much older MBP’s

I started in Web design with windows PCs. Then I went to film school realizing a horror - they had no windows PCs in the building! Using PCs for years, I could fix any problem that popped up. so moving over to Mac terrified me then I saw how good they were. Never went back.

In film school, we were told - make your life easier, get a Mac. My instructor (joked) Steve Jobs made a deal with the devil, because the Mac is too perfect! 😂 that statement has stayed with me all these years. As long as they make em’ I’m an Apple Fan Boy. They just work.

Got a MacBook Pro in 2012. It had become just a admin machine, emails, surfing, nothing more. Even doing reinstalls it just got slower. I just laid it to rest a few weeks ago. Not a bad investment for 14 yrs of service. AND!!….. it was serviced only once by a Genius rep.
