Last week Trump raised tariffs on Australia exports to the U.S. to 12.5% and needless to say our political parties are doing lots of complaining but very little else.

If Albanese wants “free and fair trade” then he should lift the withholding tax rate on profits sent offshore, particularly to the U.S.

Our current tax system is not fair to Australian businesses. How is it fair that company tax on profits kept in Australia is at least twice as high as the withholding tax rate on profits transferred offshore?

It’s time Albanese and Taylor walked the walk on Australia First and made sure profits kept in Australia were taxed at a lower rate than profits sent offshore.

People First is the only party to have a policy to keep our profits here in Australia.

“Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Sunday he would seek to raise the issue of tariffs with U.S. President Donald Trump, after Washington this ‌week imposed new tariffs on its trading partners including Australia.

The United States on Friday imposed new tariffs on goods from 60 trading partners, alleging those countries failed to curb the trade of goods made by forced labour, just as ⁠a temporary 10% global tariff expired.

The Albanese-led Labor government has described the tariffs as unjustified and says it wants them removed.

Albanese, who has previously said his focus is on "free and fair trade" with the U.S., made tariffs a key ⁠issue in a call in with Trump.”

The ban was never about the NSN’s chances of success. Everyone in the institutions knows a group like that will not form government or rewrite the country. That is not the point.

The point is the permission structure. Allow any organisation to exist that openly speaks for the continuity of the historic Australian people and the older compact, and you create a legitimate public space for the claim itself. Once that space exists, the claim can be discussed, refined, and carried by others. The taboo weakens. The window shifts. That is what cannot be allowed.

So the state moves early and hard against even marginal vehicles. It uses predictive powers, classified material the target cannot fully test, and closed processes. It does this not because the group is about to win, but because the group’s open existence keeps the founding population’s interest in its own survival inside the formal political arena. The goal is to push that interest back outside the boundary of acceptable politics.

This is why people who keep stating the claim clearly and persistently attract attention. Not because they are running prohibited organisations, but because they refuse to treat the original Australians’ continuity as an illegitimate or obsolete idea. The system can manage private nostalgia. It has much more difficulty with the open, documented insistence that the founding people remain a political constituency with a legitimate stake in their own future.

The listings, the monitoring, the files, the visits — these are not really about the fringe. They are about keeping the underlying claim unspeakable. The fringe is only the sharp edge. The real target is the continued existence of the position itself.

Look at the Prime Minister squirm and refuse to answer questions about the dinner he attended allegedly in return for a $1 million donation to the labor party.

The dinner was hosted at a mansion in Point Piper, one of the most expensive suburbs in Australia. Disgraced former Victorian Premier Dan Andrews was also in attendance.

The organiser, Felix Lee has been subject to scrutiny by Australia's banking regulator. His parent's were chased by the ATO for an alleged $273 million in unpaid tax. The Point Piper mansion the Prime Minister attended for the fundraiser is subject to a security claim by the tax office.

Lee's father was a central figure in the 2022 inquiry into the basket case casino, having put $2.2 billion through Sydney’s Star casino including the use of prohibited Chinese debit cards.

There are allegations of billions flowing from China into Australia - this is the company the Prime Minister keeps.

The Prime Minister hits Australians with some of the highest taxes in the world, then dines with the family of a man the tax office reportedly chased for a quarter of a billion in unpaid tax.

If Labor didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any.

THE FAMILY FUNDING LABOR HAS OUTSTANDING COURT ORDERS OVER A TRAIL OF ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION. A LABOR MP FOUGHT THEM FOR YEARS.

The family that hosted the Prime Minister for dinner owns 400 hectares of coastal bushland at Fame Cove, near Port Stephens, next to Myall Lakes National Park. That land still carries Land and Environment Court orders today.

Nothing here is hidden. Every fact comes from the courts, the council and the environmental regulator. That is the point.

The land was bought in 2006 for $8.8 million by Tea Gardens Farms, whose sole director is Xiaobei Shi — wife of Phillip Dong Fang Lee. Over two decades the family accumulated more than 5,000 hectares across the district, worth over $47 million.

The record of that land is a record of enforcement. Almost $200,000 in fines in 2009, after a dam wall failed and polluted North Arm Cove. An $8,000 fine in 2014, after bushland was cleared and felled trees dumped in the marine sanctuary. In 2019, the maximum $88,000 fine for unauthorised clearing.

Stop-work and clean-up orders enforced by injunction. An unauthorised canal up to sixteen kilometres long, investigated by the NSW EPA. In 2017 the federal environment department began enquiries under the EPBC Act 1999, which protects matters of national environmental significance.

Land and Environment Court orders dated 2 December 2024 remain outstanding, with MidCoast Council still to act on them.

The MP who fought this family for years is Kate Washington, a NSW Labor MP. She said they had left "a trail of destruction," and that their assets should have been frozen "a long time ago." She was still campaigning against them on national television.

In January 2026 the 25-year-old son, Felix Lee, stepped forward to reset the family's standing. "I've stepped in because I believe it's time to fix this and move on," he said. "My father didn't always have the right advice around him." The family lodged a development application to subdivide the 400 hectares from four lots into nine.

Dozens of submissions objected, including from the Gummipingal Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation, over loss of Indigenous heritage and the hope the land becomes national park. The developer appealed to the Land and Environment Court, then withdrew the application.

Fair reading. Maintaining farm tracks requires no consent, and the line between a track and a road has been genuinely contested. Felix Lee has stated his intention is to resolve matters with the council and community. No misconduct is alleged against him personally. Every fact comes from a published court, council or regulator record.

The point is architecture. The same family whose son reportedly pledged $1 million to Labor and hosted the Labor Prime Minister is the family a Labor MP fought for years over environmental destruction, still carrying outstanding court orders from December 2024, whose land clearing once drew federal environment enquiries. One hand writes the cheque to the party in power. The other holds unsatisfied court orders.

$1 MILLION IN. $272 MILLION OWED. AND THE PM WOULDN’T SAY WHERE THE MONEY CAME FROM.
In July 2026 the Prime Minister had dinner at a $40 million Point Piper mansion called Mandalay. The Federal Court had frozen it, with sixteen other properties, while the Tax Office chased the family that owns it for a debt recorded in court at over $272 million.
Nothing here is hidden. Every fact comes from courts, regulators and inquiries that publish their own records. That is the point.
The dinner was hosted by Felix Lee, 25. According to the reporting, he pledged around $1 million to Labor, and that pledge secured the PM’s attendance. It is a reported pledge; it does not yet appear in Electoral Commission disclosures.
The mansion belongs to his father, Phillip Dong Fang Lee. The 2022 Bell inquiry recorded him wagering about $2.27 billion through the Star casino between 2007 and 2021, and named him the single largest user of its banned China UnionPay process — a system that disguised gambling as hotel expenses to dodge China’s currency-export controls. He moved at least $100 million through it, including $11 million on one card in one day, booked as hotel expenses at a hotel where he did not stay.
Here is the part nobody has assembled until now.
The Commonwealth, through its own tax office, has chased this family for a quarter of a billion dollars, in the Federal Court, throughout the Albanese Government’s term. And the family fought to bury it. In December 2021 they applied to suppress the entire court file — their identities, their companies, the lot. A journalist challenged it. The family fought the journalist, and lost on appeal before the Full Federal Court: Lee v Deputy Commissioner of Taxation [2023] FCAFC 22. Three judges refused to let them hide the case.
So the son was reportedly pledging $1 million to the party in government at the same time his family owed that government’s tax office $272 million — and had gone to court to keep it secret.
And it is not only Labor. The chair of Felix Lee’s family office is Joe Hockey — former Liberal Treasurer, former Ambassador to the United States. A former Liberal Treasurer running its money at one end; a reported million-dollar pledge to Labor, and the sitting PM at its table, at the other.
Fair reading. Accepting disclosed donations is lawful and common to both parties. Phillip Dong Fang Lee has not been charged with or convicted of money laundering; the casino findings fell on Star Entertainment, not him. Felix Lee was not a subject of those findings. The tax matter is civil recovery, not criminal. No misconduct is alleged against any member of the Lee family. Every fact comes from a published court, regulator or inquiry record.
The point is architecture. A family the Commonwealth is chasing for $272 million — that went to court to hide the case and lost — is funding the top of both major parties, with the PM at its dinner table. Nobody assembled that in one place until now.
Two questions the PM has not answered. Where did the money come from? And what has happened to the $272 million his own tax office has been chasing this family for?
Asked the first, he said: “I attend lots of functions.”

She was back on the phones the next week. And she won.

Maryka Groenewald sits on the crossbench in the WA Legislative Council. One seat. No major party behind her. And she's outworking half that chamber.

Born in Johannesburg. Came to WA at 13 with her family and her faith. Studied Community Development and Politics at Murdoch, then spent years in the places most politicians never set foot, foster care, prisons, running restorative justice programs, coordinating the Angel Tree project so kids with a parent locked up still got a Christmas present, advocating for women escaping trafficking. She didn't read about broken communities in a briefing paper. She worked in them.

Then she ran for office. And lost. Federal 2016. State 2017. State 2021. Federal 2022. Four straight defeats over nine years. Most people walk away. She didn't.

In 2025 she won, the first Australian Christians member ever elected to any parliament in the country.

And from day one she's gone after one thing: accountability.

Her biggest fight: the gender clinic at Perth Children's Hospital. For months she pushed the Cook government to release its clinical Model of Care. They stonewalled. She used the one crossbench motion she gets a year to force it into the open — and the documents landed.

What she put on the parliamentary record, straight from the government's own answers:

202 minors referred to the clinic in a single year. 69 on puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones. The youngest referred was 11. The youngest ever treated was 10. A service costing, $2.5 million a year whose own model runs from blockers, to hormones, to mastectomy referrals for teenagers.

When the government refused her permission to table the evidence, including the UK's Cass Review — she used standing order 59(2) to force it onto the table anyway.

And here's the part that matters: even the Greens leader, no ally of hers, said on the record he understood her concerns about transparency. She got an opponent to back the principle.

She doesn't care what colour jersey you wear. If you're failing the people of this state, she'll say it to your face in Parliament — and back it with the government's own numbers.

She also introduced the Born Equal Care and Protection Bill, the first of its kind in WA, so a baby born alive after a termination gets the same care as any other newborn.

But she doesn't want to be known only as a fighter. In her first speech to Parliament she said she wants to be "a bridge builder", to bring "hope, truth and joy, with some grit and courage of course" into how she does politics.

I've done the research on this woman. She's not a career politician who fell into a safe seat. She came up through the trenches, and she brought every bit of it into Parliament with her.

Her motto: "Walk the walk, do the work."

One seat. No machine. Making more noise than parties with ten times the resources.

If we had thirty more like her, this country would look different.

THIS IS WHAT THE MACHINE LOOKS LIKE WHEN YOU SEE ALL OF IT

Over the past few months I have published many posts built entirely from primary government data. AEC filings. ASIC extracts. AusTender contracts. Parliamentary registers. Every figure is verifiable. Every source is named.

Here is what the data shows when you put it all together.

The tobacco industry paid $14 million into Australian politics while fighting plain packaging through a fake retailers group. Both parties took the money. The structure they invented became the template every industry uses today.

One company, Pratt Holdings, paid $3 million to both major parties in a single year. It has done the same thing almost every year since 1998. You get one vote every three years.

DoorDash paid $785,000 to the Liberals in the four months before the federal election while publicly opposing Labor’s gig economy laws. The ratio was 8.5 to 1.

The gambling industry paid Labor $899,343 while the gambling advertising ban was under active consideration. They paid the Liberals $819,480 in the same period.

The ban was dropped.

Labor Holdings Pty Ltd has received $322 million since 1998. No donors named. The Liberal equivalent, the Cormack Foundation, has given $9.4 million to the Victorian division. Same architecture.

Different colour.

The Greenfields Foundation lent the Liberal Party $4.25 million. The party has been repaying it for 23 years. The original source of the Foundation’s capital is not visible in any public document.

Vapold Pty Ltd, a 50-year-old Liberal investment vehicle run by the party’s most powerful figures, reported $37.6 million in receipts in a single Victorian election year. The source is not disclosed. The shares are held not beneficially.

The beneficial owner is unknown.

The taxpayer funds all four party think tanks simultaneously through the Department of Finance. $5.5 million since 2018.

You paid for the policy that all four parties are selling you.

The ACTU received $20.7 million from government agencies across the dataset while spending $34.3 million on electoral campaigns. The unions that fund Labor have donated $18.4 million directly to the party.

The loop runs continuously.

A Chinese billionaire whose residency was later cancelled by ASIO on foreign interference grounds donated $5.38 million to both parties over nine years.

Neither party has returned the money.

And Advance Australia — the right’s parallel campaign machine — received $34 million in three years with zero named donors in the required disclosure.

None of it is illegal.

That is the whole point.

The system is not broken. It is working exactly as the people who designed it intended. The disclosure laws have thresholds low enough to hide what matters. The associated entity structures obscure the origin of capital. The think tank grants flow regardless of who governs. The union loop runs automatically. The front groups run the campaigns that the companies cannot run directly.

Every single one of these findings is in a public register. I did not need a whistleblower. I did not need a leak. I needed a spreadsheet and the willingness to read what the government has already published.

The question is not whether this is happening. The data proves it is. The question is whether enough Australians are angry enough to demand it stops.

None of it is illegal. That’s the problem.
