Cape Verde deserved more from this game. In my opinion, several key decisions went Argentina’s way:
17’ – Messi won a dangerous free kick after what looked like a firm but fair challenge. Even live commentators questioned whether it was a foul.
91’ – Lisandro Martínez’s goal: Enzo Fernández appeared to foul a Cape Verde player in the buildup. VAR reviewed it but chose not to overturn the goal despite strong protests.
Disciplinary inconsistency: Cape Verde picked up bookings throughout a physical contest, while Argentina escaped a caution until the 114th minute, despite committing several tactical and physical fouls.
110’ – Argentina’s winner: The own goal that decided the match was also reviewed by VAR, which again ruled in Argentina’s favor despite Cape Verde’s appeals.
Add to that the number of soft free kicks Messi received whenever he went down, and it’s easy to see why many feel the officiating consistently favored Argentina.
Cape Verde didn’t lose because they were outplayed, they lost a game where the biggest decisions repeatedly went against them.
So we’re pretending 6 World Cups to reach 16 goals is more impressive than Kylian Mbappé getting 14 in just 2? Interesting. Remove penalties and this debate becomes even more uncomfortable for certain fanbases.
🚨 Patrice Evra takes a brutal swipe at Messi and Argentina’s World Cup victory, claiming the tournament felt more like a “script” than pure football. 👀🔥
🗣️ “People love to talk about Argentina’s World Cup run like it was some untouchable masterpiece. I’ve watched enough football to know the truth — every tournament has its moments, but somehow every moment seemed to fall perfectly into Argentina’s story.
When teams faced them, it never felt like it was just about football. It was about the narrative, the headlines, and the ending everyone seemed desperate to see.
You could compete with them, frustrate them, and even outplay them for long stretches, but somehow the conversation always found its way back to Argentina. At some point, you stop calling it destiny and start calling it a script.
What should people remember? Remember the football. Not the documentaries, not the fairytales, not the endless Messi tributes. If Argentina won, fair enough — but let the game speak for itself, not the story written around it.
Because trust me, once you’ve heard the World Cup tale repeated enough times, you stop being amazed… and start asking questions.”
🚨 José Mourinho Reacts to PSG Winning the Champions League Twice:
Look, I know PSG have had a long drought in the Champions League, but winning it twice? That’s something else.
It’s hard for me to congratulate Enrique, but I have to - because this is his last one.
Another reason is that they faced much tougher opponents on their way to the final compared to Arsenal. Arteta and his team tried, but I don’t think he has the experience yet to win these big fights.
But I’m very happy to be back here at Real Madrid. The boys are happy too because we already know what the future looks like. Some clubs are panicking and signing players left and right, but we have enough quality - and we might add more when the time is right and would love Gabriel in the team.
Next season is going to be a lot of fun… and some people will cry, just like Arsenal did last night (laughs).
🚨 Wesley Sneijder fires shots at FC Barcelona fans after they mocked Cristiano Ronaldo with Lamine Yamal’s 3 league titles.
🗣️ “Barcelona fans comparing a 18 year old to Cristiano Ronaldo because of league titles tells you everything about how far standards have dropped at that club.
This is a club that hasn’t won the UEFA Champions League in almost 10 years, gets embarrassed in Europe every other season, then celebrates league titles like they’ve conquered football again.
Cristiano Ronaldo dominated England, Spain, Italy and Europe for nearly 20 years. Barcelona fans should worry more about surviving knockout rounds before trying to troll one of the greatest players ever.” 😳🔥

then why charge Toll Tax again?
Good roads, education, and jobs
are a government duty, not a favor.
Broken roads and endless tolls?
This is not Toll Tax.
This is Organised Loot.
