Kyle City Council is voting today on whether or not to defend their ordinance in the suit filed against them by Kinder-Morgan, the company building the Permian-Highway pipeline through the city.

The council just voted 5-2 in favor of the settlement agreement. The settlement authorized the pipeline and establishes its route. The pipeline will be for natural gas only, not crude oil. Kinder-Morgan will pay the city of Kyle $2.7 million
