If you don’t have the common decency to treat every single patient with some compassion and a little give a shit attitude, don’t be a nurse. Or anything in healthcare for that matter.
I refuse to allow toxic behaviors and mentalities from ruining the life I have worked so hard to build for myself. Life wasn’t handed to me on a silver platter. I’ve dealt with my own shit.
I have so much to be incredibly grateful for, but sometimes I want to scream at the world for things I’d die to have that other people take for granted. 💔

Pre-Roe, I was 8 yrs old. I came home from school to find my Mom lying in a puddle of blood. She was weak & asked me to call a neighbor. She was miscarrying, but the embryo would not abort. For 48 hours, she bled while doctors transfused blood, waiting. Abortions were illegal.
So much inner peace happening today. Warm sun on my face and absolutely no worries or responsibilities for the day. In this moment I’m absolutely thriving.
Look. This isn't intended to come across as antivax in anyway. I am triple protected and would do it again.
But, it has significantly affected my menstruation. It has significantly affected a lot of women's menstruation. There has been hardly anything written about this.
