Crabeater seals using a crack in the sea ice to catch their breath. They are totally oblivious or unconcerned about people. I wonder if we register as penguins to them?!
What a day! Incredible views of the 27s Orcas off the east Mainland, Shetland today with two our @ShetlandWild groups. Here's '72' - one of two adult bulls in this pod as he swam just metres away from us off Mossbank. Magical!

It has been a Risso's Dolphin-filled week for us here in Shetland with good numbers recorded all along the east coast. Wonderful to watch and film this family group off Levenwick - check out those tiny calves!

To say that we had pretty amazing views of Orcas here in Shetland today is an understatement! Two females from the 65s pod brought their calves in the shallows and started hunting beneath our cliff top vantage point! Here is matriarch '65' aka 'Razor' and her calf born 2021/22.
