Houston ISD sees student test scores soar after the state takeover.
When the state took over HISD had 121 D & F rated campuses.
Now there are zero F rated & 18 D rated.
Also the number of A & B rated campuses more than doubled.

Great news for Texas education: More high school students met grade-level expectations this year across every subject area, with progress across all student groups.
Last session, the Texas Legislature invested in classrooms, backed teachers, empowered parents, and put the focus back on learning with reforms like banning cell phones during the school day. The latest results show those measures are paying off.
More students are not only meeting grade level, but mastering foundational subjects like algebra, biology, English, and U.S. history—including among economically disadvantaged students, special education students, and emergent bilingual students.
Thank you to all the students, parents, and educators whose hard work is driving this progress and opening doors for the next generation.
The Texas House and Senate aren’t done supporting our students. Next session, we’ll continue working with Governor Abbott to build on this momentum so that every student graduates prepared for the opportunities ahead.
HISD was failing students. Texas children deserve accountability.
Since the state got involved, student test scores reflect consistent gains and a strong upward trajectory in math and reading.
The progress in HISD proves state accountability measures work.
Texas's national championship-clinching win over Texas Tech was the most-watched softball game ever.
The Longhorns' victory to win their second-straight national championship averaged 2.5M viewers and peaked at 3M on ESPN.
Pretentious European soccer fans complaining about the US hosting the World Cup are coming up against toxic College Football burner accounts and it isn’t going well for them lol
Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.
Thank you to the brilliant Andrew Stanton for imagining me for this, all those years ago when you wrote this newest film. Thank you to the incomparable @RandyNewman or the gorgeous sonic tapestry of songs and scores you’ve meticulously woven over the years. You created the Toy Story musical world, and we are lucky to get to live in it.
By we, I mean myself and my pal @jackantonoff. We wrote this with so much adoration for these characters that made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard all throughout our childhoods. “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5 is out everywhere now. 🤠🐴
