This week we looked at the 'Scared' Emotion; what it looks, sounds, feels like. Today we finished off our 'Scared' week by reflecting our feeling through Visual arts. These are our 'Scary' Monsters. #acuedu_p
My kindergarten class love Jack Hartmann videos. They are not only engaging and great transitions for students from recess/lunch to the floor; but very informative and educational. They know we are in the month of May #acuedu_p https://t.co/G6JvmrECx1
Love seeing other teachers using the 2d Pizza shapes. Last term my kindergarten class had a great lesson of learning about 2d shapes through this activity #acuedu_p https://t.co/pkvNFwXXhL
Get the curriculum back to basics. That's the call from a leading education advisor who says kids in Kindy to Year 3 should only learn literacy and numeracy. #School#7News
I agree the curriculum is crowded. All subjects are just as important so as a teacher it is important to remember that we can integrate subjects; giving variation to lessons #acuedu_p https://t.co/QM8dBgTvmZ
Had a great science investigation lesson with my class. We’re learning about mixtures! Today I posed an investigation - “Can mixtures be separated?”. Students used sieves, colanders and paper towels to separate dry cookie batter, bird seed and tea! #acuedu_p
This & That by Mem Fox- Great engaging book to help students practise reading and writing th words. Loved using this book during a Literacy block where the students learnt the th digraph. Finished with bingo #acuedu_p
Great Idea for a Maths Rotation; looking forward to trying this out in my Kindergarten placement class as we look at numbers to 20. Students will need to use their higher order thinking to recognise all the ways that numbers can be represented #acuedu_p https://t.co/mfuYQukYcY
There are still so many debates surrounding NAPLAN. I still think I’m on the fence about whether it’s a negative or positive thing for students. This article gives me food for thought on the positive side of NAPLAN. #ACUedu_p https://t.co/yNtETSKq7b
Children's perception of gender roles may be changing, according to a new study on children's drawings. As pre-service teachers we need to ensure we continue to change children's perceptions on gender stereotypes. #acuedu_p

This is an interesting read given that the use of technology is becoming so predominant within the school environment. This article would be good to share with parents and it also makes me question my technology use! #acuedu_p

In kindergarten, they are using the rainbow to 10 to help them with addition to 10. We finished off the week by playing a fun game of bingo. The students had to use their knowledge of the rainbow to 10 to support them. They were all engaged and loved the lesson. #acuedu_p
A great activity for initial sounds. Easy activity to make, with a laminated sound sheet and fridge magnet letters. Used this activity for early finishers during literacy at prac. #acuedu_p
Playing the game bingo using the golden sight words; was a fun and engaging activity for the kindergarten children. They had to listen to the sounds of the word and then match it to the written word! #acuedu_p
In kindergarten placement class; we are learning about 2D shapes- This Shape Pizza activity was a fun and engaging way for the students to recognise 2D shapes. #acuedu_p
