@proanakhach I put Wuthering heights in my top four both because I like it and like having one recent obsession in it, but the trolling side effect is fun.
Anyway based on what I’ve read about this movie it seems to have nothing to do with this repeated whinging complaint about the supposed refusal of the young to conform sexually for the good of society.
“I Want Your Sex” director Gregg Araki says he’s seen the reports of Gen Z having less sex -- and he thinks younger people will “regret” not taking chances and “risking getting hurt”:
“I’m in my 60s now. You’re gonna turn around and you’re going to be 40, 50 like that. Will you regret not taking a chance, venturing out of your house, risking getting hurt, getting confused, getting your heart broken? Go out on a bad date, have that bad relationship, have that bad girlfriend. Be in love with the wrong person. That’s fucking life! That’s growing up! That’s how you learn about yourself.”

It’s even more annoying in retrospect how its so self congratulatory about its heroine’s mercy when she is inexplicably believed and unpunished by everyone around her, even the rapist leaves her alone afterwards.
