This #WorldHeartDay, let’s ask: do our workplaces make healthy habits possible?
Respecting a colleague’s lunch break or time off is a small, practical act of care.
There’s a person behind every deadline. Let’s make room for them.
The best health habit isn’t the one you follow perfectly.
It’s the one you can return to after a bad night, a stressful day or life simply getting in the way.
That’s a big part of #21DaystoGoodHealth.

A normal ECG can be reassuring.
It is not a heart-health certificate.
An ECG records the heart’s electrical activity over a short period. It can provide valuable information about rate, rhythm and electrical patterns.
But no single test answers every heart question.
A normal ECG does not erase symptoms, family history, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, smoking exposure or other parts of cardiovascular risk. It may sometimes be normal even when a person has angina.
As a cardiac surgeon, I value a test most when it answers the right clinical question - not when it is treated as a universal “all clear.”
This is also not an invitation to collect more tests. Routine ECG screening is not recommended for asymptomatic adults at low cardiovascular risk. The appropriate next step depends on symptoms, examination, history and overall risk.
Three useful questions after any test:
• What did this test evaluate?
• What did it not evaluate?
• What should make me seek reassessment?
Ahead of World Heart Day, “Don’t Miss a Beat” also means don’t miss the context.
Have you ever assumed that one normal test ruled out more than it actually did?

Great life advice. I think it is better to stick to lighter dinner conversation in most cases and breathe the mantra of happiness, positivity, and mutual admiration .
