My uncle has two sons.

Elder son:
→ IT professional in Pune
→ Earns ₹45 lakh/year
→ Sends ₹20,000/month to his parents

Younger son:
→ Lives in the village
→ Owns 8 acres of farmland
→ Earns ₹12 lakh/year

Society often says:
“The younger son hasn’t achieved much.”

But here’s the reality…

The younger son:

• Lives with his parents
• Grows the food they eat
• Takes them to hospitals and appointments
• Manages every festival, guest, and family responsibility
• Is available whenever they need him

On paper, the elder son contributes ₹2.4 lakh a year.

The younger son’s contribution—through time, care, and daily responsibility—is far greater and can’t be measured only in money.

Not every contribution shows up in a bank statement.

Do you think caring for parents is about money, time, or a combination of both?

I can't imagine just how dumb and insensitive are these stars who thought a coconutwala home-delivering coconut in plastic bags being spoken rudely by a kid is something to admire or be amused with. Both the stars are seen laughing at the whole thing when it is not funny at all. Dia Mirza appears particularly stupid when she says nothing boils her blood more than coconut arriving in plastic bags. Really? Of all the things in the world this boils your blood the most? And pray tell in what else will the coconut arrive till your door? Is the seller supposed to carry a basket on his head like a coolie? If you are worried about environment don't order things online because there is environment degradation at every step, from the apps you are using to the cell phones on which the apps are installed to the fuel burnt by the delivery guy to reach your home. These selective expression of environment concern is so elite and bereft of practical realities. They think harping about plastic by the coconut wala is a problem when each and everything we purchase consume is wrapped in plastics. I am truly disgusted at the stupidity.

As I said, certain things can only be anecdotal.

A small conversation took place today between two people, myself and a shopkeeper.

I can only share what happened. It is up to you to believe it or dismiss it as a vested narrative.

The shopkeeper had gone to the Corporation office a few days ago for his licence renewal. He said that earlier the official processing the papers would ask for a bribe of ₹1,000.

This time, he automatically offered the bribe amount. The corporation official returned the money and said they have stopped accepting any extra payments. He only needed to pay the official renewal fee.

The shopkeeper was stunned, not because he saved ₹1,000, but because this was the first time in his experience that no extra money was demanded beyond the official charges in a government office.

As I said, a very good beginning is being made in removing corruption from public life.

State government initiatives alone are not enough. As citizens, we too need to actively participate in eliminating corruption.

If people and the government work together, this is 100% achievable in the next few years.

I've been thinking... if someone challenges my citizenship even after I show my passport because the government says it's "just a travel document", I'll have to prove my Indianness the old-fashioned way:

Do garba at airports and railway stations.
Spit on the street. The full hawk-tuah treatment.
Pocket the hotel toiletries (and maybe a towel).
Raid the breakfast buffet for tomorrow's lunch.
Shoplift, then say, "Relax, I'll pay."
Speak at maximum volume in every public place.
Wave the flag while chanting patriotic slogans.
Shout "JSR!" during flight take-off.
Ignore every queue.
Play videos on my phone at full volume in public.
Walk into lifts and trains before letting anyone get out.
Stare at strangers.
Ask random people for selfies.
Bargain over absurdly small amounts.
Yell at restaurant staff.
Empty the free drinks station.
Litter everywhere.
Complain that everything has meat or eggs.
Criticise the local cuisine, then spend the entire trip looking for Indian restaurants.

These will be more convincing than a passport.

Seyon/Murugan/Velan is the original deity of Tamils. The history of this deity is far ancient than the arrival of Indo-Aryans into India itself. Tholkappiyar defines him being the primary deity of Mountains and associated landscape.

His worship marks the transition of Matriarchal society to Patriarchal.That is why in Tamil he is portrayed as Son of Kottravai. In early Tamil society the leadership was passed from Woman to her Son and not her partner/Husband. This is substantiated even today in the cremation practice of all Tamil Populations irrespective of their caste (don’t know about other States) In a family with two or more Sons , the cremation for Mother - Always the Eldest son does the last rites and fires the pyre and for Father - Always the youngest Son.

In Tamil Kanthu - Means shaft/phallus or tube, and early worship of Murugan must be in the form of Phallus/Lingam. The development of Sivan is a later construct and he eventually got attributed to Lingam/Phallus. To substantiate this the uncontested oldest Lingam in India is from Gudimallam near Trupati. This is very significant and different from other Lingams as the deity associated with Lingam itself carved directly. It was built by Tamils as it belonged to ancient Tamilakkam region.

This carries the important evidence to substantiate that Lingam worship is originally attributed to Murugan. If we look the figure carved, it matches the exact description of Murugan/Velan/Seyon from Sangam poetries. The figure has a sacrificial axe and a Sacrificial Goat/Ram on the other hand. The Sangam poems explicitly states that Goat/Ram is sacrificed for Velan/Murugan. The figure also doesn’t possess any resemblance to Vedic depiction of Shiva. The figure is also without sacred thread (Janeu). Here the deity is portrayed like a typical hunter, as Murugan/Velan is from Hunter gatherer period of Humans.

Additionally the oldest temple (3rd century Bce ) in Peninsular India - Saluvankuppam is also for Murugan situated near Mamallapuram.

Skanda- In Sanskrit or any Indo -Aryan languages doesn’t mean any of the attributes of Murugan. Skand - means leap/Jump or Shoulder in PIE reconstruct.

All scholars accept that this deity is not native to Indo - Aryans and it was Assimilated from local people(Tamils) into their Pantheon.

No one can trace the historical and Cultural aspects of Murugan/Velan/Seyon other than Tamils. Murugan and Tamils are inseparable!!!!

​It makes you think: If CM Joseph Vijay can do this in just 2 months, why couldn't the DMK and ADMK do it for decades? ​It was never impossible. They simply chose not to do it. Their greed for money and commission issues kept files stuck for days.

Tamil Nadu has so much hidden potential. If the previous regimes were competent enough and actually cared about our growth, our state would have equalled Singapore by now. We lost years to their corruption. Finally, we have a leader who works for the people, not for commissions! 💥
