another thing i dont understand about the death penalty is why they always wait so long with carrying it out... like what is the point of killing someone 30 years after the crime
Our ancestors had it right when it comes to executions (and many other things). They didn’t try to sanitize it. If you’re convicted of a horrible crime, you’re gonna die. They’ll hang you from a rope or shoot you or chop off your head and that’ll be it. They won’t pretend it’s something other than what it is. It’s ugly and violent, because killing someone is an ugly and violent thing, but it’s the fate you chose for yourself. It’s justice. Don’t want to suffer that fate? Don’t commit the crime. It was much more honest. Much simpler. And I think far more dignified for all involved, especially the condemned.
This is ridiculous. Just shoot her in the head. Or put a rope around her neck and drop her from a platform. Easy. Simple. 100 percent effective. "Lethal injection" is an absurdly convoluted method designed solely to make execution more palatable to outside observers.
I’m so pleased to see the TL in agreement about how tacky and off-putting gore Halloween decorations are. You need to be nostalgic jack-o-lantern maxxing.
Consider Vivek losing a wise tactical retreat. Vivek wants to be president, which is why I think it's important for him to lose the governor race. It effects more than just Ohio. It makes him closer to having an actual presidential run. That simply can't happen.
Ohio has a super majority Republican legislature. Amy won't have much power. Vivek would have free reign.
Vivek will lose and fade into obscurity. This is necessary and long term for the best.
*Chris Hansen walking in on Qui-Gon Jinn and the Jedi Council* I'm with Dateline NBC and it says here in this transcript you... purchased a 9 year old slave boy? Would you like to take a seat?
