@voljum Based as fuck, but I genuinely don't think i could switch to only SC premium, it just costs so much more compared to getting your music out literally everywhere.
@axis_twelve I am glad i never subscribed to SC (mainly because of how extremaly expensive it was compared to others). It's actually insane that they charge as much monthly as other distributors charge YEARLY not even on cheapest plans
So i finally played PEAK solo, and i have to say, the audio in this game is just tasteful. The sound design is very well made, not distracting, supporting the game (love the chains sounds A LOT). And the musical stingers just add so much to the game instead of constant music
We’ve finally found the perfect voice for our beloved robots, Bleep and Bloop from #Bytebond 🤖🤖
We are thrilled to announce that the winner is @MaerorMusic! 🎵
Congratulations on winning our Voice-Over Contest, Maeror!

This is my take on the #BytebondVO contest by @AnsharPublish . These two voices were made using processed synths with controls over volume, pitch and timbre, so they are highly customizable for expressing robots' emotions!
What i mean here is that envelope followers are mostly based after analog hardware which had specs that:
- attack parameters means the env hits 63.2% of peak
- release means the env comes back to 36.8% of peak.
meaning the full working time can be almost double what is displayed
Researching DSP stuff for my master's thesis gave me very nice insight into how audio plugins are working under the hood. It was interesting to read that most compressors attack/release parameters are lying to you about their actual time hitting full/no compression.

I feel like I should finally say something. Life got busy with master's thesis and a bunch of other projects, hence the silence. I was still doing audio/music there so it was just a good excercise. New stuff is in the works!(slowly, but surely)
