@UsingLyft Line goes up represents a global concensus on the value of the business. Any dissenter that believes its overpriced could make tons of money by being short (sell options) if it really is mispriced, so theres incentives on the downside too
@EaterOfBrushes@TheWyrdrock Its really uninteresting. Which means i have no urge to “know what im talking about”. From an outside perspective, it looks like jumbled mess, high fantasy anything goes. I’ll take a more grounded universe anytime of the day over that.
@For_Macragge I will not build a competitive list but a list that appeals to me. I will not optimize every little decision in order to win at all cost. I will apply myself when painting my minis. I will play on creative and crafted terrain. Sadly, I feel like I am alone in this…
@MothmanFan_@Skalathraxx “The culture” and its not building minis, painting them, playing the game, reading novels but complainging and arguing politics online
@PercivalForsyth@clipmogger@tonybalogna In practice as in if you had just a little bit of knowledge on the subject , you’d see how foolish you are. Note you never rebuked any of my points. She earns probably 1/50th of any other c-suites at jpm. As if Dimon even knows her name. Holds no influence. Its window dressing
@PercivalForsyth@clipmogger@tonybalogna If that makes you happy, it is. However, in practice, this is NOT an executive role, whatever name it has. There are chief stuff everywhere, but they are novelty roles with little to no real impact. You focus on the tree (label) and miss the forest (substance).
@PercivalForsyth@clipmogger@tonybalogna Stop talking on subject you know jack shit brother. You have never worked a day in your life. Go back to the round table, your king needs you.
@LindonVoxCaster I dont see myself in any online content currently produced, i fear it’s just the player base/average consumer that has evolved over time (such as a larger focus on balanced rules for competitive play, which is to me nonsense in a tabletop game). You see it elsewhere too (gaming)
@LindonVoxCaster I was genuinely curious. Started playing as a kid in 3rd/4th. Came back as an adult at around 7th. Had a pause and came back this year. Overall i think its the impact of social media that changed the way consumers interact with the product (hyperconnectivity).
@LindonVoxCaster For me was the biggest fun factor in “old” 40k. You could see it in the rulebooks, just small snippets of lore to grab onto and create your own thing. Nowadays, its overengineered fluff that removes the fun of imagining, you just “reenact” stuff…
@LindonVoxCaster IMO, There is so much web “lore” content, and an obsession with “canon” and big character storyline, that it removes the creative aspect of the hobby. Running battles you imagined with your friends, organically reaching its conclusion to through gameplay…
@thetchuck@tlark8 100% adjacent video game would kill tabletop. Its been seen before (magic arena killing standard/draft). And brings literally no money vs current business model. New players to digital would not convert to tabletop
