Did you ever wonder where all the statistics on #abortion in Britain came from?
The UK government actually publishes detailed statistics on abortion each year. You can read the 2019 stats yourself here...

This week's column on the BAI's slap on the wrist to Today FM for slandering JK Rowling as a "transphobic bigot" without any evidence or comeback https://t.co/1qPLrdgVqq
This is a actually stomach churning and anybody who agrees with it needs professional help. To allow adolescents the right to consent to bodily autonomy. Who thinks this is an acceptable right? https://t.co/HClBTQUpA5
This is a terrific piece by @KLBfax on @JoinPersuasion. Unlikely, but I hope that people can put aside the various ideologies and read what transitioning was actually like for this young woman who deserved much better protection from professionals https://t.co/54AbAP6Pqm
After all the efforts nursing students have made over the last year, it is appalling that there appears to be an attempt to blackmail them; to coerce them to take a vaccine against their will.
Informed consent should apply to student nurses as much as to any patients they treat!
Taoiseach Micheál Martin has confirmed that student nurses have an “obligation” to take the covid-19 vaccine, even if they don’t want it, for the sake of “collective solidarity” and the “overall good.”

A much needed webinar. By my count there is now 4 transwomen in the women's prison in limerick. That's 4 out of a capacity of 28. I've heard there is 29 there now so the prison is over capacity. 3 of the 4 have a history of sex offences and 3 of the 4 are brutally violent.
An est. 400 GRCs have been issued to trans I.D males since the GRA was enacted, based off these figures and @IrishPrisons stats, avg. committal for sexual offences per population is:
1 in 600,000 for female
1 in 2,500 for male
1 in 200 for trans I.D males
@realjohnmurphy@iseult Good point John - I guess my RT was more intended to support Iseult in highlighting the chilling effect already curtailing debate...
I actually agree with you though - any such legislation is likely to have horrendous implications for free speech...whoever gets to define "hate"!

If woman is an identity women are oppressed by choice. If woman is a feeling then gender roles are innate. If there is no biological sex there is no sexism. If there is no language there are no words to fight sexism. If we cannot define a woman we cannot defend women's rights

It is important to be as accurate as possible when talking about issues like abortion.
It's a fact that the North's abortion Regulations mirror Ireland’s abortion on request provision, and the UK’s abortion for disability up till birth provision.
If you insist on including adult males in your refuges and some of your community based services for those subjected to sexual and domestic violence and abuse, you are choosing to exclude some of the most vulnerable women.
Women and their babies require access to safe, quality care, during and after pregnancy, and the Strategy was a wonderful step forward in making that happen. But it has never been fully implemented, its funding diverted to abortion services. https://t.co/4lKyRUd1kD
