Let me remind you that people who are leaving aren’t necessarily doing so for simple reasons. Their feelings and decisions are personal, and they have every right to express them if they need to.

Your opinion, stance, and perspective are yours. But if your response is to be vile toward people who are leaving because they feel uncomfortable, blame them for feeling that way, or mock the reasons behind their decision, then you’re missing the point.
You don’t have to agree with them, but you can still choose to show some compassion. Not everyone is leaving to make a statement or seek attention.

Some people are simply trying to make a decision that feels right for them.
Sometimes I genuinely wonder if we’re listening to the same artist. Have we not heard the words they’ve shared, seen the actions they’ve taken over the years, or tried to understand the meaning behind the music they’ve written? Because the way some of you treat other people feels completely contrary to the empathy and humanity they’ve always encouraged.

You can disagree with someone’s decision without mocking them for it. If we truly value the messages our artists have shared with us, then compassion should matter too.
