That never happened, Martín Javier Mina y Larrea wasn't Mexican but a Spaniard that had fought for Spain. No records of 200 Haitians in Texas. And Martin was a NOBODY in Mexico, no one knew him at all. The war for independence was happening in CENTRAL MEXICO, not Texas 🤣🤣

In 1816, Mexican General Martín Javier Mina y Larrea went to Haiti to ask support for Mexico's independence from Spain. Promising to abolish slavery if Mexico won, President Petion of Haiti gave about 200 Haitian soldiers to go to Texas to join the struggle to end Spanish rule
