Swing Trading Performance To-Date
Total Return: 25.6%
Total Net Profits: $316K
Fundamentals of my strategy are below:
1) Mag 7 Only: Reputable, high-quality businesses with long-term tailwinds, regardless of interim fluctuations. If timing is off, in the worst case scenario, I’m comfortable holding — downside is time, not loss.
2) Recovery Trades Only: Don’t think you’re smarter than you are — thinking you entirely understand a stock is naive. No shorting. No sophisticated thesis on how a company will move. Markets move irrationally in the short term sometimes. Capitalize on obvious dislocations when sentiment overshoots fundamentals — recovery is only a matter of time in most cases.
3) Position Entry, Sizing, & Scaling: No perfect entries — can never time the market. Stocks sink further or recover quick in a moments notice. Entry positions should reflect ≤30% of dry powder for any individual trade modeled. DCA and scale your position as weakness continues. Have discipline when deploying capital.
4) Don’t Be Greedy: Top PE/hedge funds target 15-25% returns depending on fund focus. If you can clip a 15-20% gain/MOIC, take it and move on to the next opportunity. Don’t be an immature investor.
5) Leveraged ETFs: Leveraged ETFs are a tool to stretch returns — allowing for targeted MOIC. Use strategically to enhance returns on high-conviction recovery setups.

Starting a position in $NVDA
Targeting recovery to 75-80% of the avg. 12 mo. price target - which will result in a ~18-32% return in a leveraged position.
Deploying cash into the position in a conservative manner given the risk of the stock testing 180-190 levels.

Continued DCA: Continuing to DCA into the position is crucial to hit returns when a recovery begins. Larger buy-ins when you feel we're hitting bottom is appropriate. Stresses the importance of entering a position with enough dry powder to properly feed the trade if needed.
Take Profits: MSFT is already back down below my wtd. avg. price per share - don't be greedy and immature. Take profits when able even if you feel you're leaving money on the table.
