Dad says I “demand” a photo every day, but that’s not true. I simply sit still for five seconds and magically doggy bacon appears. Seems like a fair deal to me.

He took a long time teaching me how to pose, so now I take my job seriously, especially when the light is weird and he keeps walking back and forth with the camera. We don’t do much once it gets dark, but planning this shot was kind of fun. I sat, I stayed, I got paid.

A lot of humans think the desert is just empty, but trust me, it’s full of life. I see wild horses all the time, and there are so many that even the humans in charge have to keep an eye on them. Donkeys and mules wander everywhere too. And coyotes? They’re like ants out here. If you bring a little dog like me on a hike, keep us close, because those guys are always watching.

Dad brought me all the way to the gate of Area 51, way out in the middle of nowhere, just to see if they had an alien puppy I could mate with. He’s a great dad… just a little crazy sometimes. I don’t want an alien dog anyway. I just want a Frenchie.

Dad loves his alone time, but for me, it’s the endless trails, new smells, and naps under the stars. But the most rewarding part is all the time I get to spend with him, just the two of us, exploring the world one campsite at a time. 🐾

Hi, I’m Maggie 🐾
Five years ago, I was small enough to fit inside my human’s shoes and for a few nights, that’s exactly where I slept. It was warm, safe, and smelled like the road ahead.

Since then, we’ve crossed mountains, deserts, and forests together, from Mexico all the way to Alaska. I’ve seen snow, sand, rain, and more sunsets than I can count… always from the passenger seat of our Jeep.

Yesterday I turned five, but I still feel like that little pup who just wants to explore and make him smile. He calls me family, and he’s my whole world. ❤️

There he goes… our boy Kasio paddling into the horizon. 🛶 I sit here on dad’s board with Diego by my side, keeping watch. Proud, a little worried, but mostly happy to see him grow stronger with every stroke. 🐾💛

🐕🌵 My favorite season is almost here! The desert cools down, flowers bloom, and camping means more walks, more smells, and more adventures.
