Last weekend, six MBC crews took on Cantabs Winter Head.
The W1 4+ came 3rd, whilst the W2 8+ came 7th. M1 carry on their unbeaten streak, coming 1st 🎉! M2 came 5th in the 8+ Lower Boat category. M3 placed 11th in the same category. Our NM1 raced for the first time and came 5th!

University Fours! 🚂🏆

M1a easily beat Homerton, Pembroke, Caius, Emmanuel, to bring home MBC’s first Uni Fours victory in many years! M1b lost a closely fought battle to Jesus M2 in the quarter-finals.

W1 lost in the semis and are looking forward to a re-match at Winter Head!

On Sunday, M2 and M3 raced the Radegund Mile in some fantastic weather! M2 placed 2nd in the College Division 3 8+ category and M3 placed 3rd in the College Lower Divisions 8+ category.

Magdalene sent M1 to race in the M Int 8+ at BUCS Regatta 2023, taking 5th in the E Final. Meanwhile, Magdalene’s Ben Jones, Lauren Britten, Esther Abelian and Alice Baines competed for @cubcsquad.

M3 and M4 took on the City Sprints Regatta, racing in front of the boathouses. M3 and M4 faced off in the first round of the competition, with M3 taking the victory. M3 then beat Churchill M2 to take the overall win in their category!

The first week of term saw MBC take on the CUCBC Small Boats Regatta 2023! Results including impressive wins by Alice Baines - Fairbairn Junior Sculls and Nia Matthews and Lauren Britten - Lower Double Sculls.

Following a week of pre-term training, M2 and M3 raced at Head of the Cam. M2 won the Club B 4+ category and M3 came second in the Mays Lower Divisions category. A strong start to the term!

This year’s training camp in Bled, Slovenia has flown by! A throughly enjoyable and highly productive time was had by all.

Cambridge completed a clean sweep in the 2023 Boat Races!

Magdalene’s Lauren Britten, Ben Jones, and Sam Clarke all took impressive victories in the Interactive Investor Lightweight Boat Races.

Shaun Wilson also coxed the Lightweight Women’s Spare 4+ to a win.

Bedford Head 2023

M1 placed 3rd in Open 8+ Band 1 and 1st in Band 2, whilst posting the second fast time of the day overall.

W1 placed 3rd in Women’s 8+ Band 4B and 4th in Band 4A, with margins of 3 and 9 seconds to first in each.
