@JoanElizShields I'm afraid I really don't agree with you on this. Sure, everyone made mistakes, but Covid was and is a really bad disease. Would you really want to go back to the days when polio, for instance, didn't bother 95% of people--but was torturous for the rest? Covid was an emergency.

@fromMA In fairness it's quite a bit of money. But tampons etc. also take a good chunk of money for some extremely poor students. (Don't even mention unexpected periods, of course.) Parents signed up to restock free supplies at my kids' HS.
