Every cow on earth is a closed CO₂ loop.

Herbivores do not create additional CO₂ or methane. They are CO₂ neutral. Cattle are the world's great grazers and bulk and roughage feeders. Without them, vast areas of global farmland would soon begin to atrophy into mostly lifeless unproductive topsoil, devoid of essential nutrients and bacteria.

The carbon cows emit today was pulled out of the air via the grass it ate only months before. It's a constant rolling ledger with no new carbon being added to the global system.

Cattle harvest CO₂ from the air via the grass they eat - then use it for energy before returning it to the soil and sky - to be used again and again. There is nothing left over to threaten the planet. This is the biological miracle of CO₂ being recycled. Cattle are not a new source of CO₂ or methane.

Through photosynthesis, plants convert atmospheric carbon into carbohydrates (cellulose). Cows eat the grasses, which are cellulose, and through digestion eventually return that carbon to the atmosphere as CO₂ and methane. There is no CO₂ or methane left over to destabilise the atmosphere.

Within roughly a decade, the methane breaks back down into CO₂, which the next season’s grass breathes in again.

UK REMOVES MEDICINAL MUSHROOMS FROM CIRCULATION:
"The UK has reached a new peak of insanity. Turkey tail and cordyceps mushroom products are now being removed from UK shelves and cannot be legally sold as food or supplements due to a new crackdown by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) re-classifying these mushrooms as "novel foods" because they lacked
"significant consumption" in the UK/EU before May 15, 1997.
This is an extremely bad faith argument because both mushrooms are revered across East Asia (including China, Japan, Korea, and the Himalayas) as potent adaptogens and tonics with zero recorded safety concerns in traditional medicine for hundreds to thousands of years.
Turkey tail grows abundantly in UK forests. So someone please explain how the turkey tail that literally grows wild in the UK is any different than what's been used for thousands of years in a nearby culture? There are zero cases of side effects or toxicity.
Also consider that functional mushrooms are the chosen target here, not the Phthalates, bisphenols (BPA), pesticides, heavy metals, PFAS ("forever chemicals") and literally over 10,000 chemicals routinely added to foods in the UK.
They will tell you it's not a "ban" but actually just a newly required costly pre-market authorisation (typically affordable only by large companies) but the truth is no artisan company actually making a real quality mushroom product that uses turkey tail or cordyceps will be able to jump through the hoops of these "authorisations".
As of now in the UK mushrooms cannot be legally sold as food or supplements. This has forced UK businesses like Bristol Fungarium, Mushies UK, Mogo Farm, and Marvellous Mushrooms to remove products from shelves, despite the mushrooms' centuries-old use in traditional medicine (e.g., turkey tail as a cancer adjunct in Japan) and no evidence of safety risks.
This is a trial run, to see how the population reacts. If there's not enough pushback, you know they're coming for where you live next. This is the on-going battle that will continue to be waged against natural foods and herbal medicines.

Ogni tanto si torna a parlare (a sproposito) della supposta insostenibilità del sistema pensionistico italiano. Vediamo di fare chiarezza.

Ricordiamo innanzitutto che l’ISTAT (e quindi Eurostat) conteggia all’interno della spesa pensionistica anche una parte significativa di spesa assistenziale (come la GIAS, Gestione Interventi Assistenziali, oltre ad altre spese non strettamente pensionistiche come il TFR): del 16,3% che l'ISTAT comunica a Eurostat infatti, il 4,3% è spesa assistenziale e l'11,6% è spesa previdenziale.

La spesa viene inoltre calcolata al lordo dell’imposizione fiscale. Che in Italia è la stessa dei redditi da lavoro (cioè molto alta) mentre in altri Paesi è molto più bassa se non addirittura assente (come in Germania e Danimarca).

Scorporando solo la GIAS, la spesa pensionistica nel 2023 è stata di 267,1 miliardi di euro, cioè il 12,5% del PIL.

Scorporando anche, come dovrebbe essere e come fanno molti Paesi, la spesa assistenziale da quella pensionistica, la spesa è stata invece di 244,3 miliardi, cioè l'11,4% del PIL. In linea con la media UE (anzi più bassa). Il saldo tra entrate e uscite per quanto riguarda le pensioni nel 2023 è stato negativo per 19,6 miliardi.

Se la spesa pensionistica venisse (come dovrebbe essere per una questione di uniformità e di correttezza metodologica) fornita al netto delle tasse (che nel 2023 sono state 62,2 miliardi di euro), la cifra sarebbe allora di 182,1 miliardi di euro (con un saldo positivo di 42,5 miliardi di euro). Vale a dire l’8,5% del PIL.

Clamorosamente più bassa della media europea e quasi la metà della spesa che viene comunemente attribuita all’Italia (il famigerato 16% del PIL).

Corretto come un incapace, come un deficiente, come un coglione.
L'intero mondo dei giuristi italiani accetta questa dissoluzione dello Stato come se fosse poco più che una banale regoletta.
Un conformismo che unisce le classi intellettuali nella devozione all'unico credo, il piatto di lenticchie elargito dal potere.
Ricordatelo.
Prima della perdita della sovranità monetaria; prima della perdita della sovranità di governo; prima di ciò viene la perdita dell'essenza stessa della sovranità, il potere di scrivere le leggi.
