I always get a little contemplative on my birthday. Usually I keep it to myself, but I also just finished a journal. So now im reflective too.

This notebook represents 6 months of my life. 251 pages of daily notes, ideas, problems, and solutions for Collector Crypt.

Its easy to lose perspective when you're living it every day but then you hold 6 months of work in your hand and realize how much you have accomplished, how much you can STILL accomplish.

We get two of these every year.
Make then count.

• Bitcoin Marketplace — abandoned
• Runes — abandoned

• “All assets on all chains” vision — abandoned
• Slingshot / universal balance vision — never delivered as promised
• $TRUMP Wallet — announced as “Official,” promoted, then cancelled
• $1M $TRUMP Wallet rewards campaign — gone with it

Then there’s $ME:

• 4-year token emissions roadmap
• 50.9% of supply allocated to the community
• 225M $ME reserved primarily for active-user rewards
• Rewards marketed as “built for the long term”
• Recurring 3–4 month reward seasons promoted
• Users required to stake $ME to participate
• Longer lockups encouraged with higher reward multipliers
• Season reward allocations repeatedly changed/reworked
• Reward structure repeatedly changed
• Original seasonal $ME emissions model ultimately abandoned
• $ME utility repeatedly changed
• Governance vision never became what the community was sold
• Community programs funded, promoted, then deprioritized
• Stakers who locked based on that long-term model were left with an entirely different rewards system
• NFT builders/community spent years providing the content, liquidity, attention and culture that built Magic Eden

Pivoting your company is fine.

Pretending the community didn’t spend years buying into your previous visions, locking tokens, building products, creating content and staying aligned while those visions were repeatedly changed or abandoned is the weird part.
