Glenn Greenwald Shredded Bill Maher Over U.S. Intervention in Muslim Countries
Bill Maher: “It’s not our fault what came out. We didn’t go into Egypt. We ended up with the Muslim Brotherhood.”
Glenn Greenwald: “We were supporting Mubarak for 30 years. It was our government that kept Mubarak in power, just like we’ve done across the entire Muslim world.”
Glenn Greenwald: “How can you be a citizen of the United States, the country that has generated more violence and militarism in the world over the last five or six decades, and say, ‘Look at those people over there, they’re incredibly violent’?”
Bill Maher: “I wasn’t talking about violence. I was talking about theocracy. That doesn’t happen here.”
Glenn Greenwald: “Iran isn’t invading lots of other countries and occupying them for a decade the way the United States is. These things are interlinked because we are continuously interfering in that part of the world.”
Bill Maher: “So it’s all our fault?”
Glenn Greenwald: “It’s not all our fault. But when you send your military for six straight decades into other countries, bomb them, kill their children, women and innocent men, and prop up dictators, you take responsibility for your actions.”
Bill Maher: “That religion goes back a thousand years before our Revolution. I don’t think we can take all the blame back.”
Glenn Greenwald: “I don’t think we should. I think we should take a lot of it. Lots of religions, not just Islam, have produced violence.”
Bill Maher: “Silly liberal view that all religions are alike because it makes you feel good.”
Glenn Greenwald: “You get to ignore the responsibility that your own government has for the violence and instability in the world by saying, ‘Look, it’s that primitive religion over there that’s to blame.’”
Glenn Greenwald pushes back hard on Bill Maher’s argument about Islam and the Middle East, pointing to decades of U.S. intervention, support for dictators and military action in the region. Maher argues that the problem is theocracy, while Greenwald says America also has to take responsibility for the instability it helped create.

BORDER CZAR RESPONDS: Tom Homan fires back at NY Gov. Kathy Hochul’s claims that ICE “isn't doing its job” and NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s claims that ICE is “criminalizing” immigrants as Operation Rotten Apple continues:
On Gov. Hochul:
"Hochul is lying, stone-cold lie. This past year, over 13,000 detainers weren't honored... She just signed legislation that says local law enforcement can't work with us. Listen to your own sheriffs—you got 15 sheriffs in the state suing you over this legislation."
On Mayor Mamdani:
"As far as Mamdani, look, I'm an equal opportunity deporter. I don't care where you're from... If you got an order of removal issued by an immigration judge, you're going to go home."
FAFO at Delaney Hall in Newark. A rioting obstructionist refused to move while trying to block a vehicle from entering the ICE detention facility and got hurt doing it.
If we had a DOJ worth anything, every one of these people would be arrested, indicted, and sitting in jail.
Federal prosecutors historically convict about 90 percent of the people they charge. Under Trump's second term that machine is suddenly sucking, and I don't think anything makes me laugh harder than MAGA influencers cheerleading every tiny DOJ win without once saying they are doing a historically terrible job.
🚨 Jennings: “The Strait of Hormuz is open.”
Philip: “Then why are only 10 oil tankers crossing?”
Jennings: “We don’t need those volumes right now.”
Philip: “Then why haven’t gas prices gone down?”
👀 That last question says it all.
@afreegirlll These libersls arr so stupid. This war started in 1979. We want Iran to become a free country not a dictatorship. Until it becomes a free republic they will be a nuclear threat. Liberaks are just so uneducated.
As I understand it he says he no longer indulges in a homosexual orientation, but what happened to Milo Yiannopoulos’ accent? This was how he used to sound
Sunshine: I'm also looking at selective outrage on corruption because you're talking about $8.9 billion. I want to talk about $18 billion of U.S. Taxpayer money that we have not gotten back from Minnesota
Phillip: It’s not $18 billion. It was prosecuted under Biden. And in fact, actually the Trump administration has been kind of slow. I mean, after they raised this in in December, there's been not a whole lot of action on this on this issue, but it's been prosecuted by Democrats before it was prosecuted by a Republican
@larry_mcwethy I agree get rid of police and us armed citizen will deliver justice just like the old days in the territories. Let's do it. Will will run out of criminals like her.
