An attempt to undo the humiliating faux pas of misidentifying a malbec as a merlot in front of his wine club leads to Fraiser getting stuck in a time loop.
The first episode of this two-parter was notable for its cliffhanger ending where Martin and Daphne unknowingly donate a box Frasier and Niles are stuck in to a charity drive, stranding the brothers on the other side of Seattle.
Meanwhile, Niles is consumed by the anxiety and dread of being stuck at six inches tall for the rest of his life and what it would do to his social standing.
Then Daphne lets him sit on her shoulder and he decides that it's actually not all that bad.
When he begins to have doubts of her effectiveness, Frasier attempts to track down some of Bebe Glazier's former clients to see how their careers have fared. When his search just leads to disconnected phonelines and unsolved missing persons cases, he decides to stick with her.
The new station manager at KACL hears about Daphne's psychic abilities and offers her the opportunity to host a psychic call-in show. However, the fact that Daphne's psychic readings aren't always flattering for the callers threatens to take the show off the air.
When one of the servants accidentally breaks the porcelain doll Maris keeps in her study, Niles begins to worry that her soul has gotten lose and is looking for a new host.
