Goodbye msi
Was awesome to be back on stage with legends def an experience ill cherish
Here's a backstage pic with yet another amazing player (guess who)
See you guys at worlds
Nothing has been confirmed, so of course when I use "reportedly" you should take it as unconfirmed.
All JYPE has said is "TWICE is currently in contract renewal discussions, an update will be provided as soon as details are finalized" which doesn't really deny anything. The articles cite "multiple music industry sources" but it's up to you to believe it or not.
Personally I think the members or someone on their teams could be sharing their plans in order to light a fire under JYPE, use it as leverage for contract negotiations, and gauge public reaction. I don't think news outlets of 15/20+ years would just randomly make it up.
JIHYO will reportedly leave JYP Entertainment after 21 years, likely to establish a one-person agency for her individual activities. She is expected to continue group activities as TWICE under JYP Entertainment.
JIHYO says that TWICE will be taking a break after the final concert in Seoul:
"For the past 11 years, as TWICE and as a solo artist, we barely had any breaks, so I want to spend the rest of this year relaxing and taking a bit of a break. This break is really something we need in order to work better in the future, so I hope our fans understand."
My time at Riot and on TFT as a Game Designer has come to an end. Just under 10 years, and to be honest I thought it was going to be longer, but sometimes things change.
-------------------------------------------------
I’m so grateful for what I was able to be a small part of, and able to accomplish in the last decade. It’s been a dream career, and I have got to do so much thanks to Riot. Even trying to list it all feels insane what I managed to do in this time. And the crazy 7 years on TFT where I got to design, balance, teach, lead, and more for my job, but then also build a community, stream, cast, go to events…it’s just been amazing. Ending on stuff like the Unlock system and a couple other things…I’m heading out proud.
To everyone I worked with over the years, thank you for letting me be a part of everything we accomplished. I hope I managed to teach you something or bring you joy in some way. I genuinely hope our paths cross again in the future.
To everyone who supported TFT or me over the years, you have no idea what it means to me. I cherish all the moments over the years, and they’ll keep me going. I am so blessed to have been a part of your lives and thank you for letting me bring some fun into your world.
-----------------------------------------------------
So…what’s next for me? I’m trying to figure that out.
First off, since I was on sabbatical and am terrible at relaxing/not working, I have been making my own small indie game. I’m about 2 months into development and have already had folks playtesting some early builds. I’d say the game is like 20-30% done, but my goal is to release it as a full game. It’s been fun keeping my skills sharp in a different space, and I hope to share it with you all someday.
Beyond that, I’m keeping my eyes open for other opportunities. I’ve had a few conversations here and there already during my Sabbatical. It’s a brutal industry right now, so I’m taking one day at a time and figuring out what’s next for me, whether it’s working on another studio’s game or even my own thing.
And I’d love to find a space to do some content creation and be able to share my knowledge of game development. But that may take some time to figure out how to do it right.
-------------------------------------------------------Again, thank you for everything these last 10 years. It’s a big change and I’m nervous but hoping it all works out. Until next time, take it easy!

I'm seeing a some people are upset at the placement for Rivals of Aether 2 at EVO
For anyone unaware, I am the publisher for that game
I also remember being in the crowd at EVO 2016 and watching hungrybox beat armada through losers
It was a seminal weekend for me. I returned from Vegas and started grinding smash, got my ass beat. Then I started grinding commentary, and later on that turned into streaming
To have another platform fighter, and it be the one I publish, means something to me (regardless of how you feel about us...)
To clarify I did buy a bunch of EVO passes to help make this the biggest Rivals 2 tournament we've ever had
We handed passes to the top 128 players, ran online qualifiers, ran locals, and gave passes to TO's to give out to their community
I'm sure I got taken advantage of. People sold codes, shared them without permission, and signed up with no intention of playing. But that's the price I'm willing to pay to make this the biggest Rivals 2 event we've ever had. The community has rallied around this, and I'm pumped to go to EVO this year
See yall there (Saturday night)
