It had all kinds of potential and I was courted to be the series director.

The top executives in charge at the time were completely clueless about what this show was dying to be and hated everything I did.

IMO Digimon is in a great spot in time where the kids who grew up with it are now writing, producing, acting* in it.

Like TMNT in the 2010s. Kids who love it & GET IT, now grown up and in the pilot chairs.
