I was so moved by what Nkata Africa is doing for these little stars. They are teaching children skills they are not taught in school. They are being trained on Public speaking, Financial Literacy, Effective communication etc. I was honoured to be invited to speak to the parents.

On Friday, we made a pitch as Nkata Africa with one of our 11-year-old presenters. She spoke so well and confidently and reminded me why we started all this; to build kids into leaders who's ideas can impact society. @ZBAN_Zambia we had so much fun and we appreciate the chance 🙌🏿

This started as an idea...that kids can be coached to be confident and their self-esteem can be built. After 14 weeks of the Nkata Africa Kids Public Speaking Program, we have evidence in almost 30 kids who were subscribed.
This is so fulfilling!

Did you know that the worlds best gemstones are found in Zambia? I recently got to share a poem during a tour of @JewelofAfricaZM and loved to experience the passion Rashmi Sharma has for the gemstone industry.
We should all have a gem!

Tomorrow marks 10 weeks with these kids; coaching them in public speaking. Next month, we conclude and take on a new batch of kids who need a confidence boost and preparation to communicate effectively.

This month, I was given the responsibility to preach for the first time in my life. It was such a wonderful experience and great to see the message hitting home.

The kids public speaking class continues. We have split them into groups based on their age and strengths. They are currently working on memorising their pieces for the final presentations next month.

I was part of a mixer event last weekend. Investors and entrepreneurs all in one space. I look very small in this picture but my ideas and the project we are pushing is HUGE!

I have been visiting some of the schools where the kids from my public speaking class come from. Last week, I was at Nkhwazi and I got to speak to the kids on careers day.
My idea is to engage schools in the process of developing kids outside the classroom.

Show-&-tell is such a fun way to boost kids confidence and we love how kids are excited about it. Some parents are surprised how learning public speaking is also translating into better academic performance for their kids. Its really just a boost in confidence and self-esteem.

After only 2 sessions in our kids public speaking class, I have received this feedback from one of the parents. I am so excited about this and hopeful for a positive transformation by week 14.

Our public speaking program helps kids overcome anxiety and learn to manage their self-esteem.
We conduct various activities to build confidence in kids even as we build up to sharpen their public speaking skills.
Hopefully with the right partners, we can grow this further.

My January kids public speaking class started yesterday. Really excited by the turn out in this second edition. The class has more than doubled from 8 to 20, and it is finally getting the attention I believe it deserves. This will be a fun journey
