"All languages are easier to learn by practice than from rules. That is to say, by hearing, reading, re-reading, copying, imitating with hand and tongue, and doing all these as frequently as is possible."
J. A. Comenius, Didactica Magna (The great didactic), ch. XXII.
Biduum Latinum Nostrum heri nudiustertiusque Minnesotae celebrabatur. Inter alia ludis latinis fructi sumus, Horatium, Varios Mediaeveles Auctores et Rituale de Exorcismo Romanum legimus et latine sumus locuti.
Come take a course with me! Or two courses! Or three courses! Or courses with my friends! Hit this Latin like a new vase of garum! Like a bottle of finest Falernian.
Sunday is my rest day, I’m grateful, but also a good week: New, group courses started, many private students this semester. Just wish I had more brain power & time to read Latin for me. Italian is coming along nicely though! Reading some contemporary lit with my own “insegnante!”

Getting back into a routine after Rusticatio Omnibus. Wonderful experience after a long gap, seeing old friends, meeting people who I’ve only seen only online! Back to private tutoring for summer, prepping classes for fall, and preparing for a week of Italian immersion in August!
Salvete sodales omnes!
It’s that time! LAC’s summer courses are live! Joining our team this term is TJ Howell, eminent Latin speaker, teacher, and all around good egg. He, alongside also good egg @jacobusbanks, are offering some amazing things! https://t.co/Hy36uIlcx7
University courses and classes for other organizations are done for the spring semester. In a month or so, when secondary school students are done, I'll be transitioning to private students only for the duration of the summer to make room for trips, and some much needed rest.
