BREAKING: President Donald Trump identifies houses of worship as "essential places that provide essential services." He says “we need more prayer, not less.”
@AP_Trevor so the students from last week can’t do anything but take the make up test? this is a step in the right direction but still not right. i still think that those forced to take the make up test should get a refund and be allowed to take the test 🤷🏽♀️
@AP_Trevor Many asked you to do this after the issues on Day 1. I laid it out step by step. You all admitted there were issues you anticipated in advance but didn’t develop a solution. We laid this out for you day 1 & 2 and you let students suffer for a week FOR NO REASON. Absurd #APExams
@GubinskiJudy@PetriOP A caused being that exists eternally is an angel, not God. For a fuller treatment of this argument, see Book XII of Augustine’s Confessions and Ch. 4 of Aquinas’ De Ente et Essentia.
@GubinskiJudy@PetriOP If the Divine Persons are caused, they cannot be God. There is procession from Father to Son, and from Father and Son to Holy Spirit, but this procession cannot be a causal procession.
@GubinskiJudy@PetriOP I guess I wouldnt say Jesus is the nature of God Incarnate. Jesus is God Incarnate and therefore possesses two natures: one consubstantial with the Father, the other human.
@GubinskiJudy@PetriOP If we want a word to describe the flow of the Trinity, how about “procession?” Emanation in a Neoplatonic context carries a notion of cause and effect we don’t want to apply to the Trinity.
@GubinskiJudy@PetriOP This is why she is called the “Spouse of the Spirit.” If she were identical to the Spirit, she would have to be her own spouse, which is impossible.
@GubinskiJudy@PetriOP Also, to say that Mary is “made entirely of” or “made entirely full of” the Holy Spirit is to imply a real distinction between Mary and the Holy Spirit who fills her. While Mary manifests perfectly the will of the Holy Spirit on Earth, she is not identical with the Spirit.
@GubinskiJudy@PetriOP How can Mary be God’s maternal nature, if God’s nature is incorporeal? Also, wouldnt this mean that Mary is consubstantial with the Father, since God’s nature is utterly simple? Or are you using the word “nature” in a non-Thomistic way?
@TaylorRMarshall Is sanctity nothing more than being free from sin? Doesn’t it also mean living a virtuous life in cooperation with grace? In this way, Mary’s immaculate conception only rendered her a saint potentially. She became an actual saint through her heroic virtue amidst her many trials.
