@MartinCothran I am enjoying and somewhat disturbed by That Hideous Strength; it’s an excellent story with a prophetic twist. What was published in 1945, sounds a lot like 2026.

If the debt continues to climb over the next decade or two there will be some type of catastrophe. Could be sooner rather than later. It’s why I’m bullish on land. But not just any land…
Think of your own house. You may have the nicest house in the neighborhood. You may be the most popular, talked about power couple in your town. You could have some serious influence because of your status. But if you’re supporting that lifestyle by the constant accumulation of debt, one day, those chickens will come home to roost. It doesn’t matter if you drill it down to the personal level, the family level, the county level, the state level or the national level, there is always a pay day.
Those with assets though, “should” be fine. I personally like a few: Land (and real estate in general), $BTC & $ETH (I know some of you aren’t there yet), small recurring revenue type of business (that you started and own), little bit of Gold, stocks/index funds, etc.
As far as land goes, I’ve been trying to accumulate as much as I can. But not just any land…land in the PATH OF GROWTH. When I buy land, I buy it to enjoy, ride my ATV on with my kids, explore it, hunt, etc but, I also buy it looking at the growth patterns of the cities around it. It’s not a short 3 yr time horizon. I’m looking at “Where is the growth going over the next 20 yrs”.
I like land fairly close to an interstate or major highway (within 15-20 minutes) & within an hour drive a major hospital system. As the bulk of Gen X starts to retire from their big city jobs over the next 20 yrs, they’ll be wanting to live close to some semblance of civilization but also close to a major hospital network.
When I was in my late 20’s/early 30’s my parents used to tell me “Buy some land, plant some pine trees, make income off of having the straw raked 2X/yr and sold, then harvest it/thin it out 35 yrs down the road”. I thought “Boringgggg!”
Now that I’m in my 50’s, it’s honestly about the only hard asset I want to own.
The Fauci Diaries revealed the existence of a group called "The TV Doctors" that meets weekly to coordinate messaging with powerful industrial interests. These are people all over the idiot box right now denouncing the EO on the childhood schedule. Don't fall for it!
I lost count of the number of times in the Situation Room where I asked Dr. Fauci if it might be possible that this came from a lab leak in Wuhan.
And he assured me over and over again that couldn't have come from a lab.
I always suspected that Covid-19 came from a lab.
I’m troubled that we have not held China accountable for a virus that cost the lives of millions of people around the world.
@Mike_Pence You bragged about your role in locking down. You betrayed your boss. You pushed ventilators. It’s all in your own book. Just go into hiding.
A major theme of the Fauci diaries is the persistent thread from the very beginning Jan 9, 2020 to the end: the shot does not work as expected due to inevitable mutations. They pushed ahead anyway, and despite early and growing evidence of grave injury. Neither safe nor effective. Forced it anyway. This is as big a scandal as the lockdowns, business destruction, violations of religious freedom and censorship.
Unfortunately the Rule passed just now and no debate or vote was allowed on section 219, integration of US military technology and supply chains with Israel’s.
The NDAA will receive a recorded vote tomorrow with section 219 in it. I’ll vote no.
@Ashl75 So you're going to give us the opportunity to opt out of those complete disasters, or are you saying we should pay in but then just not accept it? You make no sense
Folks - when I say “this is a great field” always assume I’m talking about becoming an owner, not an employee. Pest control - start a small company and grow. Landscape - study landscape arch, start the company, design and build it. Goes for any industry. Owner/Operators make the money.

One of the reasons for poor academic performance in schools is that, instead of focusing on their mission as academic institutions, they have been turned into umbrella social service agencies.
BREAKING: Harvard University has announced that tuition will be free for students from families with annual incomes of $200,000 or less starting in the 2025-26 academic year.
@timburchett Agree Tim, how many illegals have the Governor & state/federal legislatures allowed into TN? The state’s duty is to monitor & keep us free from this & many other federal encroachments; someone had to direct the planes/buses based on who’d receive them. @GovBillLee@BillHagertyTN
In 2010, 4 SEC teams were in the NCAA tourney, UK, UF, Vandy, Tenn. 6 if you could TAMU and Mizzou who joined in 2012.
This year we have 8 projected teams.
SEC got better.
