He couldn't help but blush at being called cute by someone as adorable as Shingo. It didn't exactly help that he was fun to spend time with, had good taste, and had a bit more money (loathe as he was to mentally admit the last point to himself).
"I might be able to move around my schedule stuff some whenever a cute boy happens to ask me to be available. It's not like it's set in stone outside of my duels or film shooting." And he doesn't even have to accept duels as frequently. He can loosen up there.
"Excellent. Then I'll move my schedule around as well. I really look forward to our upcoming dates, Shingo."
He smiled with confidence, then dug into his meal. He was very clearly holding himself back from digging in more aggressively, but at least had some semblance of
waiting for Shingo to receive his before digging in.
"Mmmh, you really do know how to pick a good dish! This is absolutely lovely! Thanks for the recommendation."
"Honestly, I should probably learn to cook too. Perhaps we could learn that together. Oh, look at me, planning two future date ideas when I don't know if I'm even passing this one! But if that doesn't tell you how much I'm enjoying it, I don't know what does."
He smirks across
dueling with others like Yuya, making the audience roar and cheer...
He wants to turn that disappointed tone to one of glee.
"I wouldn't mind teaching you as well! That sounds like it would be a grand time. When you have free time.~"
the table towards him.
"And as for finding time? I'll make time. I'm sure we can compare schedules and wiggle around the stuff that can be shifted. I do hope you do the same."
It wasn't too much longer before their food arrived. Arthur leaned back so his could be placed down,
He was greatly enjoying Shingo's company, and leaned in once more.
"But I'm delighted to hear about what you enjoy. Perhaps you'll have to teach me how to dance sometime. I did a little back in school, but I am woefully out of practice."
"Oh no, please! I love hearing people get excited about their interests! Passion is what makes life worth living, after all."
He leans in, then back again at Shingo's question, looking a little sheepish.
"It's not that I WANT to have them. I just... well, don't often have
There's a slightly disappointed tone to that, but his expression hides it. He perks up soon after as he continues.
"But this! This is far more than a mere meal! I get to enjoy some lovely company and potentially set up my future! Easily worth the time!"
And it was!
It wasn't long before the waiter arrived to take their order, and Arthur ordered what he mentioned before motioning to Shingo.
"So, what do you do when you're not on the field?"
"No no, please continue to tempt me. It makes it all the more enjoyable~"
He laughs, leaning in again.
"Honestly, I've got to admit that I don't often get the chance to pick what I eat. I wear a lot of hats, so finding the time to be picky is a challenge. I hate to admit it,
his personal enjoyment.
"What sort of things do you consider your favorite to eat? I'm confident you have good taste." After all, he chose the fine meal before him as his date.
but I find myself getting takeout more often than I'd like. But as for favorites, I do have a fondness for fresh, tropical fruit. Pineapples, mangoes, you know the idea. Simple and fast."
"Ooh, that scallop and mushroom risotto sounds delicious! You really DO have good taste." He leans in, placing his hand on the table beside Shingo's plate while his other hand closes his menu.
"It really pays to have someone so familiar with the high life. I'm lucky."
"Hey, don't praise me on my classy flirting and then call yourself a piece of ass. You're tempting me in all sorts of directions."
He chuckled at his own words, a teasing twinkle in his eye. When that kiss came, he pretended to catch it, then blew one of his own back at him.
other after he says this, Shingo smiles and leans back in his seat.
"As for recommendations: French Onion Chicken, Seared Scallops and Mushroom Risotto, Honey Glazed Salmon, or Four-Cheese Roasted Garlic Alfredo Spaghetti Squash.
They're all good."
