Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN. Training Early Stage Researchers in electric field effects on magnetism. Funded by EU H2020 MSC grant No. 860060. Run by ESR's.
And we’re off! The MagnEFi Conference 2022 has officially begun. Over the next week, we’ll have talks, poster sessions and discussions at this amazing location in Crete, Greece. #magneficonference2022
Many thanks to all the participants in the joint workshop BeMAGIC/@MagnEFi_ITN which took place from 13 to 17 June at @AaltoUniversity, Finland. It was a lovely meeting!

This month, Beatrice did a secondment with Sreeveni at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. Plenty of magneto-ionics and Kerr microscopy was performed (and maybe some saunas too 😊🇫🇮).
Also in May 2022, ESR 8 - Adrien Petrillo - completed his secondment at Spin-Ion Technologies in France! He learned about ion irradiation of magnetic films and structures through irradiation masks. He even spent time in the cleanroom!
It's been a while since we've posted about the secondments of our ESRs, but that doesn't mean they have been sitting around! A thread 🧵#secondments#msca#itn#magnefi
In May 2022 ESR 13 - Gyan van der Jagt - did a secondment at @InstitutNeel in Grenoble! There he used Kerr Microscopy to study domain wall velocity at very large magnetic fields in samples irradiated with He+ ions! He also did some hiking, which is mandatory when in Grenoble ⛰️🥾
