Do you have PUNDING with your Parkinson's and how should it be treated? Punding is compulsive performance of repetitive, mechanical tasks, such as assembling and disassembling, collecting, or sorting household objects. New study: 'There are five studies of treatment of PD related punding. A prospective open-label study on 10 PD punders of a multi-step algorithm for medical management of punding. The study found reduction of levodopa therapy was efficacious in two cases, amantadine was effective in controlling punding in four cases, and quetiapine only had mild efficacy in two cases. Also 5 cases of duopa helping, however in 4/5 persistent at longer term followup. DBS? DBS could cause and potentially treat and not a ton of specific data. https://t.co/rfA07m9NiF
