I blame VanVliet. Seriously of all people, the guy had so many great matches, 68 or more 4's in an era when the talent level, schedule, fan expectations, evolution and availability and time to study is so different from today. The irony is that I was always accused of overrating Bret, Shawn, Angle, Owen Hart, Rock & Roll Express, Eddy Guerrero, Rey Misterio Jr., Psicosis, Eaton and all the guys who today people say I underrated.
Ricochet made a great point. It is very very hard in this business to be a person with no heat from anybody. To have your name come up in a conversation and nobody buries you.
Goes against this gimmick but by all accounts it seems like the Bastard was anything but.
Never be afraid to openly love your favorite wrestlers. Never be afraid to be LOUD about them. No matter what. That wrestler who stands out to you speaks to something deep within. It's okay to embrace that. Appreciate them while they're still here. Don't take them for granted.
I’m sick of title holders dictating the terms of how their next contenders are found and made. It’s so arbitrary and inconsistent. There’s already an authority figure on the show and this is a show where people fight each other. The only merit that should exist to earn title shots is to win matches.
When I talked to people in AEW, they noted that it becomes abundantly clear when they release the configuration for the ticket sales, it can only be for Blood and Guts.
They wanted to get the tickets on sale and it would have been obvious it was Blood and Guts anyway.
MVP feels a lot of talent today are scared to be real heels:
“It’s my opinion that nowadays, a lot, not all, but a lot of people don’t want to be real heels. They want to be cheered or they want, ‘Oh, I’m kind of a tweener.’ Tweener… have the courage to be a face or a heel.
Being a face isn’t easy. Let’s just admit, socially, it’s way easier to get people to dislike you than it is to get people to like you. You’re going out there and trying to smile and make friends… you can come out there and just, ‘Everybody in this building can kiss my ass.’
— A lot of today’s talent are scared to be real heels. They want to be cheered. They want to be liked. They don’t really want to go all in and be a real bad guy.”

I really need to complete my comeback because one of my goals is the normalize integender wrestling cuz I will bump my ass off for women and make them look like a killer.
Willow Nightingale: “If life is kicking you around... DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP. Keep fighting. Keep pushing through. Because sometimes, the comeback is better than the dream.”
This right here is the BEST DAMN BABYFACE in the entire world, without a doubt.
“THE BEST BOUT MACHINE.”
