Never expected anything less, but Preston North End were amazing today. Proud to have lived there, and to have started my career in the City.
A proper Football Club with proper people.

What an incredibly poignant scene this is: Liverpool’s players stood still, looking up at the away end and clapping along as Diogo Jota’s name is sung. It’s been like this since the final whistle.
We didn't really know it 12 months ago. But boy, did the club absolutely NAIL this appointment. Both from a footballing and personal sense.
Arne Slot. What a man.👏👏

Very sorry to hear this. Steve was a brilliant journalist - a tough, gruff Northerner with a heart of gold, great sense of humour & superb instinct for what makes a good story. Had a lot of laughs with him in the Mirror newsroom, and always trusted his judgement. RIP.
