@laffythfc The entire wc was diabolical from them, imo. They had some good moments for sure, but they were far too few for the sheer amount of talent they have. My main takeaway was how unlikeable they have been all tournament long. Expected better from defending champions.

@Ben_White86 Football fanbases have always overvalued our own players while undevaluing opponent players. This gets incredibly worse when it comes to academy, as people don't watch those games and just buy into the hype. It is either generational, or not good enough. No nuance in discourse.

@Ben_White86 Most of our purchases are trying to fix this very problem. Sensei and Van Hecke are both good progressive passers from CB. Fernandes good reciever and carrier. Robinson can create. There are hints of a change in identity for sure.

@Ben_White86 Agreed. I think he and Bergvall will move on for game time. I don't have too much of a problem with their sale. Talented or not, we've had a problem passing the ball into space since Eriksen left. Too many times, we pass to feet or behind the player, killing attacking momentum.

But the stats are skewed and "more than other seasons" or "future potential" means nothing in context of comparing two players based on stats. Same league stats per 90 is gold standard.

@FplStavLasso @Ben_White86 While I am happy with Fernandes, this is a list that misses a whole lot of context. Tielemans has missed a significant portion of games last year due to injury. A more accurate representation would be to do the same list per 90 minutes.
