At some point in your 20s, you’ll realize a lot of people around you stop believing in themselves.
You can support them and care for them, but you can’t save everyone.
By all means, do not let it infect your mind. Stay focused on your path and keep going.
If you’re still in your 20’s or 30’s, please remember this: not having everything figured out yet does not mean you’re failing. Life moves differently for everybody. Give yourself grace while you grow through it.
Invalidating someone’s struggle because you can’t relate to it is actually a sign of low emotional intelligence. You can be grateful for your own experience and still show sympathy and support to others; that’s how we’re supposed to treat each other in the first place :)
I saw a quote that said "to procrastinate is to willingly endure the discomfort of anticipation, rather than the discomfort of action. Both are burdens, but only one leads to progress" and if that didn't light a fire in me.
I know a couple who did their church wedding and immediately after that, they announced that people should collect their food, drinks and souvenirs at the door on their way out. There was no reception. They did their honeymoon in 3 different countries and I found it really cool.
Adulthood is understanding that when a friend teaches you how to fish, you stay away from their pond. Be grateful for the lesson, respect the boundary and build your own pond.

Having a job and living alone is such a weird combination. You get off work, go home, shower, eat, probably scroll through your phone, and stay silent until you talk to someone at work the next day.
