ZANU PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa, stated that Zimbabwe’s economy is performing very well, with more than 2 million people involved in gold mining, a sector that is helping to support the national currency. He also noted that tobacco farmers earn approximately US$8 billion annually from tobacco sales. Ambassador Mutsvangwa added that these economic opportunities will help absorb returning Zimbabweans from South Africa into productive employment, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the country’s development.
