taking down piracy sites is playing whack a mole. you're never going to win
what beats piracy, as demonstrated 15 years ago, is making legal consumption easy, cheap, and safe. Netflix and Prime was killing piracy
then they split up content and jacked up prices and it's back
a room full of educated individuals collectively boo at the mere mention of ai. if this isn’t proof that ai was specifically designed for willfully ignorant morons than idk what is
This article gets at one of the really troubling aspects of generative AI: the way it’s driving a breakdown in trust. Whether it’s writing or images, it’s becoming harder to trust the things you see and the people around you. It puts everyone on edge and on the defensive.
An Israeli developer is building vacation homes and luxury amenities on land in Kenya, which he hopes will draw both Kenyans and Israelis. But many Kenyans are outraged. @Dena explains why.
btw, if you're making jokes about genocide, israel, epstein files, etc, you are complicit in the government's attempts to take away the seriousness and effects from these real world issues. that is part of what memetic warfare is. stop making jokes. take things seriously.
This is sadly a massive problem. Honestly. It’s why we lack any proper national dialogue on the state of our country and where we are headed. They are helping dumb down populations.
The 2010 Kenyan Constitution dictates that NO Foreigner is allowed to own Freehold land in Kenya. How then did this Israeli man acquire these 527 acres to build a Jewish only settlement in Nakuru....is he above our law ?
Holy fuck this is actually grim.
There's nothing about this being a "buy now, pay over x months" thing for those on low income, there's options to rent a console indefinitely for £24.49 a month, until you cancel, or £11.59 for 3 years (aka you pay £417, then send it back), so you paid full price for a PS5 but don't get to keep it AND on top of that, PS Plus isn't mentioned as being included so you're paying MORE overtime.
Between this and the rising PC parts, I'm actually worried the future of gaming is bleak.
"You will own nothing, and you will be happy".
If you can't afford a PS5, for the love of God, do NOT go for this. Save up for a pre-owned one for like £350 on eBay or a second hand store.
This is why you need to be reading books and writing your own emails, by the way. When you outsource your thinking abilities, you risk turning your brain into soup. Heavy dependence on AI has already been linked with severe cognitive decline. What you don’t use, you will lose.
Say no to this bullshit
Together we have a LOT of knowledge and we can help each other.
Old pcs, older games, we go back to physical and we tell HP, Nvidia and all these other predatory companies to go fuck themselves
We refuse this dystopian trash you want to force us into
The fact that CANCER RESEARCH is crowdsourced by people, fandoms, groups, are donating to this, is testament to the fact that those philanthropic billionaires were lying to you when they were telling you "we care about you poor shits🤣🤪"
