It has now been around 1,100 days since my father, Imran Khan, was imprisoned, and my brother and I haven’t heard his voice since March. For months, we’ve been denied contact with him. We remain in the dark about his access to healthcare as his eyesight continues to deteriorate. He urgently needs medical attention, and with no family or legal access, we don’t even get any second hand information or reassurance.

I’ve found myself especially missing him recently. I want to speak to him about mundane things like my cricket, books I’ve been reading and what new movies are good. I understand the people of Pakistan want their chosen leader free, but I miss my father more than ever.

But this is not just about a father. It is about Pakistan, and its future. A rigged, authoritarian regime continues to crush political opposition, undermine democratic institutions, and deny millions of Pakistanis their right to freely choose their leaders, whilst terrorising those who speak their beliefs.

I once again plea to the international community to not look away. Silence in the face of injustice only enables it.

سرگودھا میں تین روز قبل کارخانہ بازار بلاک 8 میں 7 سالہ بچی منتہا زہرہ کے ساتھ وحشیانہ زیادتی کے بعد چھری سے اس کا گلا کاٹ کر قتل کر دیا گیا۔ پوسٹ مارٹم رپورٹ کے مطابق بچی سے زیادتی ثابت ہوئی ہے، اس کی شہ رگ کٹنے سے موت واقع ہوئی، جبکہ چہرے سمیت جسم کے مختلف حصوں پر تشدد کے 7 نشانات پائے گئے۔ رپورٹ میں انکشاف ہوا ہے کہ بچی کے چہرے کی ہڈی، ماتھے کی ہڈی ٹوٹی ہوئی تھی اور سر کے دائیں جانب بھی زخم موجود تھے۔ پولیس نے ملزمان کے ڈی این اے کے نمونے لاہور لیبارٹری بھیج دیے ہیں، رپورٹ کا انتظار ہے۔ مقدمے کا مرکزی ملزم ارسلان سی سی ٹی وی کے مبینہ مقابلے میں ہلاک ہو چکا ہے۔

From the news, we found out that Imran Khan was taken to PIMS again in the middle of the night, supposedly for his second injection in the eye.

When the law requires that family be informed before any medical procedure is conducted on a prisoner, why was the family not informed?

We do not trust the diagnosis or test reports from Government medical facilities. There are already reports coming from PIMS that the doctors are being threatened with serious consequences if any information is leaked about Imran Khan.

What are they Hiding?

Our family rejects their reports even if they issue these doctored reports to the public. We stand by our demand that Imran Khan be examined and treated in Shifa International (Islamabad) by specialists, under the supervision of Imran Khan’s personal doctors and in the presence of his family.

PIMS (Govt Hospital) is not equipped to treat anyone for the alleged condition that has developed in Imran Khan’s eye.

It is criminal what this Government is doing, and they will be held accountable for each and every violation and crime they are committing against Imran Khan.

A Govt Minister has tweeted that a medicial board is being set up for Imran khan. Secondly, we are hearing in news that Imran Khan is to be shifted to Al Shifa eye hospital in Rawalpindi.

Our demand has been clear from the beginning. Imran khan shall not be given any treatment WITHOUT the presence and approval of his personal doctors and family members.

We do NOT accept any medical board they set up and control!

We do NOT accept any reports or results they manufacture.

Our family is getting extremely worried as to why they are resisting the selection of specialists advised by Imran Khan’s personal doctors.

Why are they rejecting the supervision by Imran Khan’s personal doctors?

Why are they rejecting the presence of Imran Khan’s family members?

Why such fierce resistance?

We have been waiting since yesterday for the written order from the Chief Justice of Pakistan. Nearly 24 hours have passed, and we still have not received it. At the same time, the Chief Justice set a deadline of 16th February for Imran Khan to receive immediate treatment from specialist doctors. Our position is clear and unequivocal, Imran Khan must be examined and treated by specialists, in the presence of his personal doctors, at Shifa International.

9 مارچ 2021 جب مصطفے کی طبیعت ناساز ہوئی اور چند دن میں ہمیں پتہ چلا کہ یہ لیور کینسر ہے۔
ہماری زندگی اس وقت رک سی گئی ۔ وہ کینسر کا شکار ہوا اور ہم سب اس میں مبتلا ہو گئے ۔
پھر دنیا بھر میں رابطے اور پاکستان بھر میں کوششیں مگر complications ایسی کہ کوئی علاج ممکن نہ ہو سکا۔
یہ اپنے ہاتھوں سے ریت پھسلتے دیکھنے جیسا تھا۔
اپنی بے بسی کا ہر دن احساس اپنے best کے مطابق سعی مگر جو اللہ کو منظور ۔
میں شاید بہت کچھ لکھتا مگر ابھی ہمت نہیں۔ پھر کبھی لکھوں گا۔
9 مارچ 2021 کو مصطفے ساڑھے گیارہ برس کا تھا اور وہیں رک سا گیا۔ زندگی پھر چلی مگر ایک الگ ڈھب سے۔ کچھ دوست واقف کچھ ناواقف۔
کل سے اب تک دنیا بھر سے کالز ، میسیجز اور بذات خود آکر emotionally support کرنے والے تمام دوستوں کا شکریہ ۔
کچھ کا شکریہ میں زندگی بھر ادا نہیں کر سکتا ۔

The seizure of the #GlobalSumudFlotilla by Israel, detaining over 150 unarmed activists, including Pakistan’s Senator Mushtaq, in international waters represents yet another violation of international law by the Zionist State that enjoys virtual impunity thanks to unqualified Western backing. It is moreover a shameful escalation of Israel’s illegal blockade of Gaza.
This attack on a peaceful humanitarian mission, which planned to go to Gaza to deliver critical aid to millions enduring starvation and Israeli ruthlessness, also exposes Israel’s real designs.
Equally deplorable is the Pakistani government’s duplicity. While it sheds crocodile tears over the flotilla’s fate, it has endorsed the U.S.-Israel-dictated #Gaza "peace plan", a thinly veiled scheme for annexation and continued subjugation of Palestinians. Its crackdowns on pro-Palestine protests in the past and earlier episodes of detention of Senator Mushtaq wouldn’t be forgotten.
Pakistan must abandon this hypocrisy, reject the colonial "peace plan," and unequivocally stand with Palestine’s fight for justice and freedom.
