I want to appreciate the readjustment that @RDBrwanda has introduced for this festive season. Kigali is now a metropolitan city and any blanket restrictions on nightlife risk undermining tourism and the visitor experience. During the recent #Davido concert this month for example, i hosted guests from Uganda & Kenya who had flown in specifically to enjoy Kigali. By 1:00 a.m. everything was getting closed and they simply told me: “Joe, we didn’t come here to sleep. We want to enjoy, explore and spend money.”

Nightlife is part of a city’s economic ecosystem. When well regulated, it creates jobs, supports hospitality, increases spending and strengthens #Kigali’s regional competitiveness. The temporary operating hours issued by @RDBrwanda allowing establishments to stay open until 3:00 a.m. on weekdays and operate through the night on weekends and public holidays show an understanding of that balance. It is not a free for all, noise control, safety and the prohibition on serving minors remain in place. That is how a city grows, guidance, not suffocation. Regulation, not restriction.

This festive season i have visited many hospitality venues without the anxiety of “1:00 a.m. curfew.” I hope we can continue building a model where nightlife is not seen as a threat, but as a sector that can operate within clear boundaries, contribute to the economy and showcase Rwanda as a destination for culture, entertainment and hospitality.

A First for Rwanda: Groundbreaking Heart Procedure at King Faisal Hospital

On Friday, 16th May 2025, we successfully performed the country’s first percutaneous closure of a patent foramen ovale (PFO) in a post-stroke patient, marking a historic milestone in Rwanda’s cardiac care landscape.
This pioneering procedure was made possible through the collaboration of Dr. Hugues Lucron (Switzerland) and Dr. Gérard Misago, a Rwandan cardiologist and fellow of @SaveChildsHeart .

It's not usual for molluscum contagiosum to be pruritic and febrile. And also it doesn't come abruptly and spread in such short time.
