The suspect (Picture) has been identified by the public as Vusi from Matshelapata village in Bushbuckridge Mpumalanga.
He is accused of fatally shooting a truck driver who stopped in Dwarsloop opposite the mall before he was approached by the suspect. The suspect shot the driver before robbing his belongings while the driver was lying in a pool of blood along the R40 road on Tuesday, 6 January 2026, around 23H00.

The suspect was captured by Isuzu dashboard cameras installed on the truck for security reasons. His images made rounds around social media last night before being identified by the public as Vusi, a criminal from Matlolapata village in Bushbuckridge.
