Football legends like Ronaldo and Maradona warned us about FIFA’s corruption for decades.
And also both Pale and Maradona of said Cr7 is the greatest. End of debate
Today we are seeing it with our own eyes, we owe them an apology.
@Wizarab10 Omo me i no follow dem accept two goats ooo as a Messi fan you can have him as your goat but as for me na Ronaldo be the goat but Messi is great
@Tufab That’s why I said Messi was suppose to have received a second yellow for deliberate handball but wasn’t. If it was a Dutch player its a second yellow you sef know
@Nuel006 Chelsea last won the league in 2017 no 100m signing in the squad.
Pool last won the league without any 100m signing.
City did with greelish even though he only score 17 goals in 157 appearances.
Only arsenal 100m won them the league without.
So what’s actually your point?
@MartienBall Now these players you listed above are the ones the needs convincing because they’ve played at top level and they’ve seen it all.
But players like Fernandes,Anderson, baleba,Scott, don’t need Man utd to convince them it’s either the club is their priority or they go elsewhere
When I was in secondary school, our principal, Mr Daniel Taiwo, had a favorite saying: "SAY NO TO MEDIOCRITY." Anywhere he is right now, he would probably look at what we have become and realize the society has completely trampled on his words.
If we want to stop lying to ourselves, entertainment pays way better than education in any secular society. That is the standard market dynamics. But functional countries create a balance. They heavily fund R&D to ensure their bright minds are fully engaged to advance the frontiers of knowledge.
We do not have that here. The systemic ineptitude of the government over time has widened this gap so much that the only survival pathway for smart students is either Oil and Gas, Big 4/6, international firms, or a few strong local companies. Anything outside that line, the next option is just JAPA.
We can argue about this "Olodo culture" from morning till night, but the truth is that the government institutionalized it.
When the state systematically starves intellect and rewards noise, mediocrity stops being a flaw. It becomes the only logical survival mechanism. PELLER and others only found a way to thrive inside it.
