Having great players does not excuse a club secretly paying the vice president of the referees’ committee.

Also, Pep won the league comfortably only once in his four seasons at Barca with this so-called “greatest team.”

Mourinho’s Madrid won the league with 100 points in Pep’s final season. In the other two of Pep’s other title-winning seasons, Barca finished just 4 and 3 points ahead, on the last matchday.

We all remember how Real Madrid silenced Laporta with this video after he called Real Madrid the “club of the regime.” Madrid responded with historical evidence showing how Barcelona itself went hand in hand with Franco’s regime. Remember, Barca were the last major Spanish club to revoke the honours they had given Franco, only doing so in 2019.

But lets not forget the context behind Laporta’s accusation?

Barcelona had been caught paying Negreira, the vice-president of Spain’s refereeing committee, for decades, and Laporta was under pressure to explain exactly what those payments were for.

After previously testifying to the tax authorities that there were no contracts or proper documentary evidence explaining the payments, Laporta suddenly held a press conference and brought out three random red boxes containing their newly found explanation: “referee reports.” The reports that were made by Negreira’s son, which was paid separately.

Then, like a corrupt politician trying to divert attention from the scandal in front of him, Laporta counter-accused Real Madrid of being the “club of the regime.”

That was when Real Madrid responded with the video and shut him down.

What a nasty bunch of a club!

Caught paying the vice-president of the refereeing committee for decades, then responding with deflection, counter-accusations and propaganda.

Football will never see a club as corrupt as Barca. Barca propaganda should be taught in universities.

Many Barca fans seem confused under the comments because years of propaganda from the Messi/La Masia section of their fanbase, which is the prominent voice, have convinced them that Ter Stegen was somehow the sole reason for Barcelona’s failures from 2015.

He has become the convenient scapegoat for an entire decade of failures.

In reality, Ter Stegen is one of the best goalkeepers Barcelona have ever had. Yes, his last two seasons were poor, but for years he was lauded as one of the best in the world and was publicly praised by people like Xavi, Romario and Zubizarreta himself.

Ter Stegen even won Barca’s Player of the Season award ahead of Messi and Suarez. But after his rift with Messi and the La Masia circle, he gradually became a scapegoat.

Adeyemi, Gordon, Rodri, Alvarez. All pursued the moment Barca reportedly reached the 1:1 financial rule.

When they were broke for years and couldn’t reach 1:1, the narrative was: “We don’t buy stars, we create them.”

- Tebas constantly attacks Perez and Real Madrid.
- Madrid has spent years fighting him in court and winning. TV rights deal case was fought for a decade.
- Madrid opposed his multimillion-euro salary increase, while Barcelona backed it.
- He pushed for overseas league matches with Barca unilaterally and Madrid and several other clubs have to oppose to get it cancelled.
- Despite La Liga being a party against Barcelona in the Negreira case, he has taken no meaningful action against the club.
- He has repeatedly facilitated Barcelona’s controversial player registrations.
- He recently attended Laporta’s presidential inauguration and declared, “we will make history.”
- And many more instances where he favors barca.

At some point, people have to stop listening to what Tebas says to fool casuals and start looking at what he does.

Barcelona fans keep repeating that Tebas supports Madrid because he claims to be a Madrid fan. Yet his every actions have consistently benefited Barca while putting him on a huge collision course with Real Madrid. If you judged him by his decisions, you would think he was working for Barcelona, not La Liga.

But when Madrid generates nearly €200 million by selling academy graduates and fringe players without selling a single starter, they demand an investigation into how the club made so much money.
