Earlier this week in Martha’s Vineyard, I had the opportunity to visit a home where my father stayed from time to time to write, reflect, and gather with other leaders in the struggle for freedom and justice.

Malcolm X and other prominent voices of the era also spent time there. To stand in a place that held those conversations, ideas, and moments of reflection was deeply meaningful to me.

I was honored to visit and grateful for the opportunity to connect with this part of my father’s journey.
